The caliber of tools you have is quite substantial; how long have you been woodworking and growing your collection? (especially your stationary tools)

I have been woodworking since 1979 with my first workshop being the kitchen and back porch of a townhouse.  Tools were all Craftsman & B&D (circular saw, drill, jigsaw and a router) and a few hand tools.  I still have the first piece of furniture built and it has done great despite me not knowing anything about furniture construction and breaking most of the 'rules' in place today.  To give a historical perspective, this was 10 years before New Yankee Workshop first aired and 4 years after the first issue of Fine Woodworking.

I have had a number of shops and various tool upgrades over the years.  The serious upgrading started in about 2000 and all but a handful of stationary tools have been upgraded over the past 16 years.

Sometimes when the weather is really nice.  Sometimes the weather undergoes drastic changes and if my shop is relatively cold, I will not open the doors to prevent condensation from humid air and the resultant rust.  I also try to be considerate of my neighbors because of the noise.  I have had no complaints about this in the entire 26 years and I have even been in the shop at 2-4 am.

Yes - I use the Aigner rails which are reasonably priced.  The extension tables are not so reasonably priced.  I have 3 extension tables so I can extend in either direction a total of 3 meters.  (With the extension clamp, you can attach one table to another).

Steve.  Could you tell me what the name of your workbench was again.  Sam

The workbench is a Diefenbach.  It was imported by a Colorado company run by a German lady named Gabby but she closed the business years ago.  I don't know if the Diefenbach bench is still made.
