I am done for today and tomorrow back to work after few days off. The tray and the box is done and will be sanding and painting over the weekend.

Yes it is flexible template and it is not intended to be used like I did. It makes it easier and faster to make the template and use but not to screw it directly into the work piece. However my work piece is only one and will be filled and painted so I just screw down to save time.

I had to cut a slut on each side of the box and round it up for hardware that I made for lifting.

For the table top I was going to use a corian and right before I start asking around for drop offs if someone had anything left over I was in lumberyard for walnut and right when I waked in I saw this beautiful quartersawn mahogany 17" x 43" and just could not resist and I bought it. Here is the pic and the table top that I made.

This will be few things, lifting table, small work station, storage and of course you can sit on it. some pics before I finish it.

Here is how it is looks like when it is a stool. It is exact size as MFH 1000 and because I add a table to it so I just got smaller casters by 25mm not much and I am right on.

And when it is all the way open. You can lock it up from 14" up to 39".

Finally done after painting every weekends. In first picture as stool next to MFH 1000

In order to remove the green tray, just take out the foam and loose 4 screws and it comes right out and now you got a small workbench.

Now the table is open up all the way which is 40" and two sys1 is in the box. You can also see the tool tray in the back inside the box in blue black which is hold by a magnet. Three sys1 or one sys4 fits in the box perfect and you can move up to 6 systainers around.

Here the table hight is exact with mft3 with ct sys in the box so we got the dust collector and the tool tray and hardware with some tools.
I will post more pics tomorrow as I have to leave now. Thanks for watching and happy Friday.

Thanks Neil.

I do not own any mill or brake but I am a full time employee at welding and metal fabricating shop for a long time and this is my bonus that my boss let me do anything I want with the respect to the business. So when shop is busy I have to wait till machine become available.
Just finished the outdoor work and going down in the shop. Will post few more pics soon.

Just few more pictures. Here the set up for DF500 joiner. The tray can be removed and the hangers on each side can stay on.
The ct sys and assorted tenon systainer on the top open.

There is a 8mm hole at the center of the table from both sides and here is 2000mm homemade compass.

I made this two years ago and now I do not need the 2x4 to do this. It already worked great now just easier.

And finally a cool place to park.

That's a nice perk to have in your back pocket. I really miss not having access to the Engineering Model shop.

FWIW...if you were to attach 2 custom turned aluminum/stainless dogs to the bottom of the green tray, you could then remove the seat/tray assembly without needing to remove the 4 screws. I did that for the Vac Sys and I can now place it anywhere on the MFT.

Thanks for the comments, and my idea about securing the green try is exact what you did but machine that I had to use got busy with 1100 pieces of work and got the Stainless round stock left over for now but can be done later. I am using the split dogs from lee valley for now and the screws does not have to be removed. Just a turn and it comes right out.

I had this for something else and used them for now, but in the future I will replace it with dogs as far nothing will be changed.
