Peter kinda sorta talked me into posting this,

As most of you know Im back in the states so I had to reset up my old shop. I wanted to maximize space and make it easy on me to set it up and easier to access my tools and maintain space. So I ripped out most of my old cabinets dis assembled them  saved what I could and hauled the scrap to the dump (tip for my UK buds).See photo of the truck full of scrap


I decided on using spur shelving and precut and edge banded melamine shelving.I found it easy to install gave me the space I wanted and after I reorganized again today I got even more space. You'll see my systainers on the back wall paired by sander with sandpaper for example, my CMS GE unit in the back right lower behind the MFT with my modules hanging on the wall. My
MFT with the VL CMS attached to the MFT in the rear but infront of the systainers/sortainers. You'll notice all the empty shelving I have, that is a result of todays reorg.

My shop is nothing special but it is functional. Im adjusting the hieghts and doors/shelving of the of small cabinets you see and once i put that grandfather clock in the house (still unpacking and rearranging the house from the move home, Ill have even more room to use. Im going to put my 3 rollaways and my Jet jointer (the only stationary tool I have left) In that corner. Plus I got to hook my TV ad stereo w/ speakers and sub woofer up to.
 Way different than the shops alot of guys post all fancy and stuff mines is a simple no frills functional shop that will do all I need and give me maximum usable space and storage.

But mines is my personality plain and simple almost boring anymore

You are the lucky man.How many people do you know that they can travel from country to country and have a shop right the way?
By having that space, I think you are 50% done and the rest is up to you.
If I were you, I would do the floor, lights and electric before anything. Remember that you can always rent a u-haul and park it in your driveway for few days and put all your stuff in and work easily inside the shop and get the floor done.
