Well I’m glad I got some pictures to post.

My wife and I relocated north of the Napa valley. Bought a beautiful house on the river.

I decided to buy a commercial building in town rather build one at the house.
I’m semi retiring for a bit.
I picked up a old soda shop built in 1953. Later was added on by the previous owner to a total 1500 sq ft. Block construction. Front retail side is 15by 39 and the back is L shape 39x 12 and 14.5by 16.
So I started removing some walls in the back portion. Set up an alarm and camera system. I’ve decided to just seal the floor and use mat as needed.
This week I brought in the big equipment and working on placement so the electrician can do his job. Also will need to figure out and order DC ducting.
That’s it for now.

First off congratulations on retirement , I did that myself 2yrs ago at 53....luv-it!! Relax and enjoy it. I would enjoy occasional pics as you move along with the shop(doing one myself). One of the most enjoyable parts of it is being able to get what I call side tracked, spending time working on areas of the shop you didn’t feel you had time before.

Sorry I haven’t updated in a bit.
The electrician is slowly working on the project. (He’s also has two other jobs)
I’m starting to make some saw dust working on carts modification.
My Prometheus boom arm showed up yesterday. In great shape.

So yesterday I installed my new Prometheus 120.
Pretty easy. I have a little over 8’ clearance.
After mounting the bracket I rigged the boom arm with rope and hoisted it up.
Nice addition to the shop.

I just need to figure out what I want in the auxiliary tube.

Jealously speaking, I've always wanted a shop/playroom located away from the house in a walkable commercial area. I picture sitting out front drinking coffee and chatting with passer's by or folks dropping in to enjoy the shop with me.

Hope you are enjoying retirement.

Thanks Richard. I’m only semi retired so the shop is for work and play. I’m planning on working 16-20 hours a week.
Also looking forward to making things. Right now still setting up shop.

I like the idea of a "holster" for the VAC SYS rather than direct attachment. Might steal that... ;-)

Garry, I was going to attach directly with tee- bolts, then I saw a post last week here where the someone made this kinda set up I used finished plywood so I can “suck up the slop”. Pretty much designed it are lots of ideas I read here.

Exactly that. You don't need to worry about stability in the holster once it's switched on because it will create the vacuum to the surface it's sitting next to. Genius

You just need to push them back at the beginning if there is no more vacuum, I think I left 1/16 strong( 2mm+) on the play to ease them in and out.
