My Hobbyist Woodworking Shop

I finally got around to shooting a photo album of my woodworking shop that I have set up in my two bay garage. All shop fixtures have been built by myself. Some woodworkers choose to build their shop fixtures to almost furniture standard but I chose the utilitarian route when building these units. That process also served as a training exercise while I taught myself the various methodology of woodworking.

Fantastic setup, and a remarkably effective use of every square inch.  I like how you have the router bits set up in the drawers.

What is that box/jig you have the Festool router mounted on top of?

When youre feeling depressed just treat yourself to a systainer even if its a mini systainer its ok.

Edward, I assume you mean this unit. It is my router rest so that I can set the router down upright without waiting for the bit to stop. The last image shows the device used on one of my work surfaces where I have embedded t-track so I usually clamp it down.

(Don't know why image 3 is on it's side - do not know how to correct it - sorry!

@squarecut Very nice set up and execution.

I have a question though, I see the big dust collector under the work surface. But I notice some smaller dust collection stuff going on behind the miter stand and the router table. Is there a shop vac sized unit hidden in there somewhere or does it tie back to the big collector.

Ron,
Each photo has a short description below it - you must have missed that on the sanding station, main bench, miter saw & router table. Your assumption is correct, those stations are connected to a Ridgid Shop Vac which is hidden behind the Festool systainers and controlled by the two start/stop stations & orange blast gates

Got it.  I was thrown off by the hole in the back through which you insert the clamp/hold down.  I thought at first it might be some sort of dowel making jig.

I guess you must love the quick start/stop of the ETS-ECs then, since the pad stops spinning even before you have time to set the unit down.
