Northern lights during solar flare

Hi folks
I just received a picture from some friends. Although Im located in north western Canada This picture was taken not far from my home town on the east coast of Canada. This photo was taken at 11pm at night on sept 12/14.
Just thought id share, wish I had more.

I live in Edmonton, work just north of Fort McMurray :-) Picture was taken in Blacks Harbour, New Brunswick right on the Bay of Fundy.

My wife and I tried to drive to Utah Friday to see the lights but the highway we needed to take was closed due to a fatal accident.  We did not get to see them when we were in Iceland in March. I guess we are not meant to see them in person.

Do you ever make it up towards Sexsmith AB.? I have a friend that lives there and I always go through there when I travel the Alcan.

NO cant say that I have ever been to that neck of the woods in the province. I use to live in Fort McMurray that as far north I need go I think.

Thanks for sharing! Seeing northern lights in person is a bucket list thing for me. If I'm not mistaken that's the big dipper as well?

Yes, it appears to be, never really notice that before . I was more hypontized by the green......Must be a Festool Factory over there working night shift getting everyone xmas presents ready  [thumbs up]
