Wow! Seriously great tool
« on: December 01, 2014, 09:39 PM »
I gotta say, I am really impressed with milwaukee's new led lighting. This morning at 7am I bought 2 of the new m18 led lantern/flood lights. I only paid $89cad each at construction fasteners (<-----shameless name drop) and I do not regret it in the least. I have been eyeing these lights since they were released but was waiting for an unbiased review but none appeared and a time came when I needed more lighting. That day was today so I pulled the trigger and picked them up. Amazing! Simply amazing is the word I'd choose if only one was allowed to describe these lights. They are much brighter then I envisioned and the 360 degree function really adds to its functionality. I was working in a space that was 22'x34', I hung both lights from the ceiling in 360 mode and they lit up the entire area with a great light colour. There were no hot or dim spots, it was all even. I was amazed at how much light these give off, my $350 wobble light couldn't have done a better job and most likely spend the rest of its life in storage, sorry old friend. Another great feature... They fit in systainers! You can fit 3 w/xc or compact batteries lengthwise in a sys2. Along with the 2 lanterns I also picked up the m12 stick light, I have only done some minor testing with the stick light but I'm impressed with its performance and light colour. There are a lot of reviews for this light already and everything you've heard is true. It's a great product.

In conclusion, Milwaukee scores an A+ in my books and I have already ordered a third lantern. Here's a picture for shits and giggles
