I have been buying tools for woodworking, electronics and metal working for last 6 months and it it is not over yet.

Nice stuff HAXIT!

I like the CMT bits myself. Someplace here in the USA was going out of business a few years ago and sold all there CMT stock at 50% off. I bought a ton of them.

I'd be interested to know more about that scissor line. Have you had a chance to use them?

Hi Seth,
I think I did shop from the same place for CMT. It was like 3 years ago and it was 50% off but I do not remember the name.
I buy them from www.routerbitworld.com now. Rich is a great guy to deal with and shipping is always $1 and the the prices are lower compare to any where on line.
I am not new to Martor and have been using them for 7 years. If you do not loose it or loan it to a friend that has a bad habit to breaking stuff, then most likely they indestructible.

Hi!

After some health wise - troublesome months - yesterday was again one of better/good days that have gotten rare as of lately and I spent some quality time with my Dad at the Gedore factory shop.

Bought just a couple of small pieces, can't do anything tool related anyway right now.

Just to clarify, it's nothing life threatening but it's really, really annoying because it sometimes changes within an hour - makes advance planning completely obsolete and I only dare to leave the house on what I call a "100% good day". Plus, I thought I was done with it, then it hit me again out of the blue. So I'm getting used as pin cushion again...

I still hope to be able to continue projects and start some new ones in a couple of months.

Today I bought a CMT 10" calibration disc and a few adhesive sandpaper discs so I can get the table saw set up perfect and use it as a disc sander too. Speaking of the table saw, I picked up the sawstop jobsite saw not long before I joined the FOG along with a bosch gex125-150ave ros.

Although, not something directly for the workshop they do aid in making stuff that goes into the workshop. Some heavier Pfanner Gladiator chainsaw pants for the < 10 degree F days. Been wearing the ventilation ones for a few months, but those let a little too much air up the rear

in the winter.

And a box of 50 Pfanner work gloves because I don't want to run out anytime soon!

Why chainsaw pants over chaps? Well, when you're out in the woods all day you're spending more time planning a fall and skidding it out than actually running the saw. Chaps are easier to take off than to put on. And it never fails that an unseen limb or buck cut needs the saw on it and fatigue + daylight weening might make one neglect the chaps for that cut (I'm very guilty of this). But I have never felt the desire to ditch the trousers for nature's full ventilation... the family jewels aren't for ticks!

Not a pro , just the occasional tree to cut up. Never tried the pants but I have the chaps and find them bulky and awkward. Don't like the straps and such either. The pants look like the way to go.

They make them for few manufactures under different names but all have the same quality.

Does it count if I didn't buy it? This evening I went to collect payment for a recent job and the customer gave me a bonus of an extra $200 plus the 18v Bosch Destroyer brushless kit! Definately could handle a few more customers like that.
