Just wanted to post it out there in case anyone was wondering the size of the 3 mm drill bit. The length of the bit is longer than needed. I believe the common 60-62mm overall length might work fine for 3/4” material thickness.
The OG bit has the following writing on it
@3.0 GUHRING HSS 19479371
The @ icon is a zero with a diagonal line representing mm i guess
- Measured with a caliper and its dead on 3.0 mm diameter (imperial with caliper was 15/128”)
- Overall length is 72 mm
- Cutting flutes 40 mm length
- Shaft 32 mm in length
- Looks like 118 or 135 degree
- HSS= high speed steel
- GUHRING is the manufacturer brand
- 19479371 is the item number identifying it (could not find it on their website or anywhere else)
SIDE NOTE- dogs that come with the parf guide mark 2 are
- Overall height 22 mm
- Bottom diamter 19.95 mm
- top diameter 24.95mm
- top height 10 mm
- Bottom height 12 mm
-
"O" with diagonal through it usually represents diameter.
I'm pretty sure you can get spares for the Parf from TSO & Axminster.
