Festool FSK guide rail adapter for Mafell KSS60 crosscut saw??

I am currently looking to buy a cordless skill saw. I have the TS55 and the 800mm, 1.4m and 3m guide rails so I want a saw that's compatible with them, I was thinking either the HKC55 or the Mafell KSS60 as they can be used as regular skill saws and also have the option of attaching the cross-cut rails for cross-cutting.

I have heard bad reports on the HKC55 as you can't cut over 38mm deep on a 45 degree cut, which is just a bad design from Festool in my opinion, I also heard it seriously lags on cutting damp/wet timber and the battery life is poor. On the other hand I have read that the Mafell KSS60 works much better with damp/wet timber and the battery life is superior.

My question is, do you know if there is some sort of adaptor to fit onto the Mafell KSS60 that will fit the FSK guide rails? I know there's a plastic fitting that can be removed so it fits the original Festool guide rails, basically I don't want to have to reattach the plastic fitting everytime I want to do cross-cuts.

The FSK rails have an additional t-shaped rail profile on them that captures the base plate of the HK/HKC and keeps it from falling off. 



This rail doesn't have a profile in the base of the TS/TSC saws, which is why they're only one-way compatible.

It looks like the Mafell KSS rail profile is even more different than that.

Why would you use the KSS60 on the FSK rails?  The Mafell comes with its' own crosscutting rail that works really well.
You said you have 800, 1.4m and 3m guide rails - which would be the FS rails.  The Mafell works on the FS rails, as you mentioned, by removing an insert.  It's really not that hard to remove. 
The alternative is to invest in a couple of the 1600 bosch rails and the rail connector.  You don't need a 3m rail since the Mafell/Bosch rail connector works 100x better than the Festool joiner.
There's also a Flexi version that comes with the smaller KSS40 - it rolls up in a systainer.

I still have a FS1400 with holes for use with my OF routers, but otherwise switched over to Mafell/Bosch rails.  Yes, less accessories, but better in other ways like alignment, rail joining, clamping slot near splinter strip, etc.

Just an important note; The KSS60 does not fit on any Festool rails. It’s only the MT55 that does.
