I have been busy and I just logged back in and I saw a few people are getting this system. I think it is rather exciting to see people getting in on this tool. I just completed a cabinet for my laundry room. I am not a cabinet builder by any means. This was my first cabinet build. I just want to say I was able to achieve excellent results in part due o the dashboard system. I had great success with everything coming out true and square. That resulted in my cabinet going together and my wife being happy with the results. The drawers were a challenge in the fact I had to build a dado jig . The dado jig did its job and I was able to complete my build but holy heck a simple dado would take me forever to complete. I struggled with accuracy with such a jig. I was fortunate enough to have a wife who is encouraging my new hobby and she got me the jessem master lift excel 2 table . It came with the 2nd generation fence . I have since ordered the TA fence and the miter 2 set up. I am hopeful these items will come in before the end of the month . I live in phoenix and I do not work outside in the summer time. I retired from a job where I spent nearly 30 years outside in the summers.
I went on a bit of a tangent there, I have attached the digital depth attachment to the router table. I think that is the handiest thing ever. I am able to whip out a drawer box in no time flat as compared to using a dado jig. This is all important since I won't be getting a table saw so no dado stack for this guy. So my router table is where I will land for many tasks people just crank out on a table saw. One thing on the JessEm table The wheels are terrible. I have the steel table legs it is a three wheeled system and it is terrible save the 50 bucks and build a rolling platform with that 50 bucks you'll be happier. Well this post is a mess and I will wrap it up with I am excited to see other peoples experience with the dashboard system.
