Kreg ACS table with Festool Rail?
« on: May 16, 2021, 01:52 AM »
Anyone able to figure if you can mount a Festool Rail on the Kreg Table?  If so, what mods did you have to do?

This is covered in an ACS-specific thread here.

From memory, I believe that the backside of the hinge is exposed. This can be remedied by creating new mounting hole.
The other optional adjustment is to the front/back placement of the hinge... if you want your cut line to fall where it falls on the ACS unit you’ll need to elongate the little notch in the table that locates the hinge(s).

@dashboardpws - we see no reason why you should not to promote your product here. TSO does and so do many others.. The point is that the product is relevant to users of FESTOOL products as it provides options to enhance the customer experience with FESTOOL products.

We have an extremely capable team of volunteer (!) moderators. If they see a problem, they'll let you know [wink]

Here we are:

https://dashboardpws.com/products/guide-rail-brackets-bundle

These are suitable for most any type of table with some kind of tracks installed on the sides. T track, T-slot extrusion such as 8020, and the MFT3. They are made to work with multiple brands of rails, including Festool style (Makita, Powertec, & similar), Dewalt, and Bosch/Mafell, all accommodated with appropriate hardware and mounting locations.

Thanks for info.  Looks like a great product.  I'll take it under consideration.  In my case with the Kreg table I'm assuming the table type would be "T-slot Extrusion" ??

Also can you buy extra parts to make it work with a T-track.  I have a assembly table I was thinking of attaching a guide rail to in the future and I have T-track along the edge.

I used the Dashboard guides to mount a Festool rail to my ACS. Works perfectly fine. I replaced the plastic stops with a Woodpecker 1” flip stop from the drill press kit.
