Hinge machine dust collection

Has anyone found a good solution for a dust collection boot at their hinge boring machines?  Post pictures if so! [big grin]

I use the CMT boring jig on a drill press, I clamp a 2" extractor hose to the table next to the bits and hope for the best.

I use Loc Line 2 1/2" as permanent fixtures that I can then attach my vac hoses.  http://www.loc-line.com/product-category/2-5-vacuum-hose/anti-static-vacuum-hose

I had to dig out my Mini-press last night for a couple of doors and remembered this thread....

Took me a while to come up with something that worked decent, because of the air blast throwing the chips all over.

There is a 4" pvc (sch 40) street "L" mounted under the back of the press with a short piece of pipe going out the back for the hose coupling.
Small blocks of wood wedged in between the press frame rails, both in front & behind the elbow opening to stop air from coming in. A guard made from 1/4" luann surrounds the back to keep chips close so the dust collector gets them.

The last pic shows what was on the table after 6 holes.

karasj - your English is just fine.

Your ingenuity is outstanding.  Nice design and execution.

Are you selling those or the file for people to 3D print their own ?

Thank You!

The company Blum showed interest. But they can’t decide for a long time.
I’m not selling it yet.
If Blum refuses, I can present the file. For private use)
I will know next week.
