Does anyone know if this router bit exists?

I do custom headers with this detail. Would save a lot of time if I could route this profile in the cap board. It’s called “shelf edge”

I had to do something similar this past summer.  For the cove I experimented with several core box bits to cut that portion and then for the other I bought this set from Amazon:  https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CHLQSTT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I did use my CMS as a router table.  I then ripped the finished pieces off the boards.

I know that people will chuckle about my choice of router bits, but I only needed 12 feet of molding.  I figured that I had never needed these bits before (going back to 1983) so I probably could get away with cheaper bits for this project.  The bits did cut well.

Exactly. Norm Abram cut a similar molding in his video showing the making of a mahogany entrance door, 2 passes using those two router bits. Recommend watching the video for his use of feather boards while cutting the moldings.

You could use a bullnose bit set high followed by a cove bit set low to get that profile.

Infinity Tools makes two very similar bit profiles as part of their 17th Century collection. 17-525 is 9/16” in total width and 17-540 is 7/8” in total width.  Hopefully you could make one of those work for one pass operation.

If you don't find anything suitable you could have one made. I needed a profile for a job to match existing trim.  Not to be found anywhere. I ended up getting a custom bit made by Ridge Carbide. It was a a fairly large router bit ....................  came in at $300 (carbide). Sent them a sample of the trim. Got a perfect match. Typically you will here about custom shaper  cutters, but custom router bits are available too. Yes, pretty expensive but if you use it a lot it may be worth doing.

Thank you guys!! I ended up with one of the Grizzly profiles. Figured it was close enough to the molding that Unless I had the headers next to each other you would never know!

I watched the new yankee woodshop video, that profile was/is nearly identical to what I use! Man I miss that show :(
