You could buy it on Amazon for $529 and not worry.

Additionally if you have their Amazon Prime Store Card or Visa you get 5% off every item all the time. It will at least offset some of your sales tax.

To paraphrase Yelp, 11 reviews, average of one star, run don't walk.

I’ve bought a few things from MaxTool (worth several hundred dollars) with no problems. I have never posted a Yelp review.

Or you could go to Amazon where MaxTools has a 94% rating as a seller out of over 21,000 reviews.

I purchased my Shopfox moulder from there (via ebay), as well as a few accessories for it later on. No problems. They're perfectly legit but I bet customer service leaves something to be desired.

The signal-to-noise ratio does leave something to be desired at times...

Totally legitimate business. I bought a tool a few years ago and since they are in Southern California I drove to the warehouse to pick it up. Lots and lots of tools on pallets and on steel shelves. Got my tool from the will call. I have since ordered other things no issue from online or Ebay.

I think I bought my Honda self propelled lawn mower through them 2-3 years ago. Best price on the internet. The mower is almost super duper excellent. Always first pull start. Its motor is not quite powerful enough. I can kill it too easily in tall grass.

I purchased the Festool VacSys from them. But I was able to will call the item as their warehouse is just a few mile down the road. The do have a nice showroom. I have even gone to a Festool Roadshow at their location.

I purchased that same planer from them last year. But I suggest waiting another couple weeks.
I got it for $425 or $450 right around Thanksgiving.
No issues with that purchase and it was a legit packed from the factory machine.
I also purchased a TS75 from them which had an issue so I returned it. No complaints other than it was a little slow getting a customer service rep to call me back. Took a few days.

Max Tool aka Factory Authorized is no longer a Festool dealer. I do not see any Festool items listed in the catalog.
