"Festool" (AEG) belt sander
« on: August 01, 2013, 03:42 PM »
There has been interest in the Festool belt sanders on and off, or at least that's my impression from searching for "belt sanders".

There's an AEG 3" for sale here...
http://www.ebay.com/itm/181188473286?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

Just so you know, this is NOT MY AUCTION.

I am actually more interested in any options/alternatives for the Festool sanding frame here in NA as I already have one AEG myself.  From what I've read, the Festool sanding frame fits the AEG.  If you know where I can purchase a Festool frame here in NA, I'd appreciate the information as well.

Cheers.  :)

That is a very good well balanced 3x21" belt sander.
Considering that it is almost entirely the same as the Festool belt sander it is offered at a great price.

In combination with the sanding frame it is an awesome tool. The sanding frame isn't available in NA but it so utterly transforms the belt sander that it's worth importing at whatever the going retail price is.

Thanks for this tip. I found one on CL for $50 and I'm thinking of finding a used BS75 and swapping the motors. Might be an interesting project.
