Congrats - very nice job and I see some very nice bottles in there.   ;)  You should make yourself a nice drink after all that work.

Matt.. as always superb work. When it all comes together and you get the look you wanted, thats joy.
Thank you for sharing. It's not easy to take pictures and keep up with the work as you progress. It helps others follow along and get some ideas for their own build.  You have a brilliantly designed shop that is kept clean. Fantastic. Problem is your have set very high standards that you should be able to keep up with your next builds.
How has the shaper worked out for you? Was it easy to incorporate into work flow?

Fantastic work, Matt!  The doors look great and I really like the interior edge banding on the drawers.

Thanks for the journey on your work.

@mattbyington  As usual your work is superb.  And the design on this project is over the top!  Thank you for all the pictures and sharing your progress along the way.

You mentioned at the start that the hardware was all solid brass.  Can you talk more about it?  Looks like you used brass rod for the rails, but are the drawer handles custom or off the shelf?  And what about those legs?  Did you have those fabricated?

Thanks, Mike A.

@tallgrass :) thanks man.

@rvieceli thank you so much man.

@mrFinpgh thank you very much. I still need to do that. I don't drink often. Maybe 1-2 times a month. I've had a lot of those bottles a long time. I made my wife wipe down all of the bottles before putting them in the new cabinet, haha. I imagine the drawers won't stay super nice for long, but at least initially i wanted everything to be clean!

@Blues thanks so much man. I really appreciate it. It's fun. You guys keep me honest ;) The shaper is awesome. I really like it. I go through bits pretty quick. I might not have the feeds&speeds down. but it's a lot of fun. It's a really great tool. It is very easy to learn and understand.

@neilc thank you so much man I really appreciate it.

@mike_aa Thank you so much man! i really appreciate it. It was a lot of fun to make. Yes absolutely.

The brass rod was from McMaster: https://www.mcmaster.com/7782t383
The door pulls are from Jacob. I really like his work, and highly recommend it: https://www.etsy.com/listing/815403510/solid-brass-cabinet-knob-mid-century

The feet are from Etsy, too: https://www.etsy.com/listing/770128262/set-of-4-console-table-legs-brass

Cheers everyone. Thank you so much for the kind words.

Matt

Hi Matt, I haven't commented before I don't think but I have been following your projects for awhile. I think this is some of your best work. The cabinet is truly beautiful and I give you huge applause for not only building it but designing it. There are so many details in this piece, it's really quite an accomplishment and you should feel great about it!

Matt, I like this very much.
I would probably make the bottom panel of the cabinet wider, protruding to the front (identical to the top panel). Then move the front feet few inches forward to decrease cantilever.

@nicholam77 thank you so much for the kind words I really appreciate it!! You made my day. It was indeed quite challenging. Looks so simple to see others do it on YouTube but man it is hard!

@rmhinden thanks Bob!!

@Svar thanks man! That is a FANTASTIC idea. Ugh. that would have helped it not be so tippy. I guess I live and learn. That would indeed have been a way better design.

No worries, just keep the bar full!  [big grin] ... Then someone else might be tippy...

Yeah, if it gets tippy or you get tipsy, might be best to just screw it to the wall.

Nice job!  ;)
