small projects can use lot's of tools

Since I am banned from the golf course for a while longer, I looked around the shop Saturday morning and found some walnut and maple that looked like it needed to be transformed into something more useful than it's natural state.  The box will be for coasters, which are still in the planning stage.  Hard to believe but I used my table saw, track saw, jointer/planer, drill press, band saw and various sanders to build this little box.  I still have some sanding and finishing to do on the coaster box.  Once I finish constructing the coasters, I'll button up all the loose ends.

At my office, I use an iMac 27" and have added a second monitor.  However, the base of the second monitor does not have any vertical adjustment and it sat 1.75" below the height of the iMac and it was driving me crazy.  I glued up a couple of pieces of maple and used a tracing I made of the base to cut it out on the band saw.  It's not perfect but now the monitors are both at the same height so mission accomplished.  Had I not been a woodworker, I don't know what other solution would have worked nearly as well.

@HowardH  That monitor stand is perfect!  Looks like a commercial accessory.  Thanks for sharing!
