I redesigned this reclining rocking chair to be built with Domino joinery. My original rocker design used traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery for the joints in the back-, side-, and front rails. In this version these m&t joints are replaced by domino joinery. The arms are joined to the legs and the legs are joined to the rockers with dowel joints, since, with these latter joints, there is no flat surface to serve as a reference face for the Domino's fence.

The mortices for the back-slats in the back rails were also milled with the Domino. To stabilize the Domino's fence as it rested on the curved back surface of the rails, I attached a thin lath with double-sided tape to either side of the fence.
