Mesquite Sign With Mesquite Poles
« on: January 14, 2022, 03:39 PM »
I live in the sticks no street lights on my dirt road so I made this sign to put my address will add a solar light.

I was fortunate when i was in the UK Festool they were selling a festool pole building kit with augers forstner bits even a nice tape measure, folding rule buts etc etc. i had the opportunity to use on this project. Thats why I bought it because i knew id be doing alot of out door projects this is the first one. So here is a couple of photos of it after I put the second coat of finish on it.

Oh BTW the place I bought the mesquite poles also puts together kits gazebos etc etc he recommended some finish by messemer (the brand) he swears by it . Comes in different colors I chose a natural he claims its the best he knows for the Az sun/ heat.

Ill post more photos after I put it in and add the numbers /solar lights etc.

Oh and the poles are 4" wide and 6' long to give yas a idea of the size

If you are routing them or even painting your address, etc. you can get reflective beads to sprinkle on the wet paint to make them stand out at night.

Something like this:  Reflective beads

They work.  I might even have some to send if you are interested my friend.

I have a little mesquite I haven't done anything with, yet. Does it do well in the outdoor weather like cedar might?
