Large radius reception desk

This is another item that goes with the same job as the white oak bookcase.
That got put on hold, waiting for stain approval.
Moving on to this painted project, which is a little different for us. Generally, paint is only used on trim, and cabinet doors, nothing this big.
The slats are poplar and were primed last Friday, the main wall is some more of that cherry "shop ply", which will get painted too. I got the whole thing assembled today, but only about half of the slats.

How are you attaching the slats?  Surely not with dominoes or anything crazy like that (I've seen some projects on Fb that used Tenso to attach similar slats to a wall and questioned the fiscal soundness of such a plan).

Spacing jig and screws from behind?

It was a bit of a debated compromise. Neither of us (boss) really like the idea, but it seems to be the lesser evil. The slats were pre-primed, but only on 3 sides, so they are raw on the back.
This gives us 2 face-grain wood surfaces. Simple wood glue and 21ga pins was the choice.
This is not ideal for the priming and painting, but we felt it would be better to have good adhesion and easier filling/sanding for the nails, than it would be to paint everything first and try to mount them after.
