Hi guys,

I've joined the black and green club as of yesterday with this  http://www.festool.com.au/epages/tooltechnic.sf/en_AU/?ObjectPath=/Shops/tooltechnic/Products/561555/SubProducts/270000

Purchase was made all the better as one of my customers from my main job got word of my previous career (shopfitting and cabinet making) and me wanting to get back into it. He offered me some work at his shop and offered a silly amount of cash plus the tools I needed to do the job with! Getting keen to have a play with it all in the shed tonight.

Bought a Festool CT Midi to go with an Oneida Ultimate Dust Deputy cyclone for dust collection/cleanup of my small CNC machines (Shapeoko 3 XL and Nomad 883 Pro --- ob. discl. I work for the company).

I've debated buying more, but a bit put off by the recent change in Systainer sizes (and bummed that Lee Valley seems to be discontinuing their toolsets in Systainers), so doing things on the cheap for the nonce by hacking a Husky Rolling Connect 22" cart to have removable "drawers" in the form of Harbor Freight and Husky storage units.

After using my teachers tools for a few years I bought 1st, 2nd and 3rd in one awesome hit.

CT Midi, DF500 and OF1400 in one go.

I knew exactly what I wanted - a happy day back in the shop!

My first Festool purchase was on 14th April, and consisted of the TS55 REBQ - Plus, a Festool carrying bag for the 1400mm guide rail, and a cable deflector for the rail. What about a guide rail for the track saw, you wonder 🤔. That was on the next order, 2 weeks later.

All these were being shipped from axminster in the UK to Botswana. For a total of around $600 + shipping and customs duties. And I won't get to see them til December when I get to go on leave. I'm in the US during the year.
TS55 REBQ, FS 1400/2, FS 800, Festool carrying bag for rails, FS-AW Cable Deflector, Kapex KS 120 REB, CTM Midi, FS-HZ 160 ratchet lever clamps x2.
