Newbie With Years Of Experience

I got into woodwork when a large cherry tree limb blew down. Wow, what a trip. I was retired and spent next 25 years making great treats for me and friends. Now I’m 70 and get to go into my shop and reminisce. That’s all. My legs are too weak to trust for using my table saw. It was a good time.

@Zoeller welcome to FOG!  Sounds like you had a terrific and long woodworking journey which is terrific.

Welcome!  I unfortunately had to have surgery to remove cancer last fall and couldn’t work in my shop for a while. I still went out there every day to sit.  Even though most of the projects I do now are work and not what I necessarily want to build, it still made me feel better being there.  Perhaps some scroll saw or lathe projects could keep things going for you.
