If all UK members just say a Hello/Hi then when a NEW UK member says Hello it will pop in your new replies making you aware of a new GB crew! + If I update this posts I can make a comment so it will pop up in your New Replies also!
Hope this will help for some future organised events OR trying to get some tools or other items from the USA across the pond in quantity.

Hey JMB, a lot of guys on this forum are from Ireland, a suggestion would be amend this to "GB & Ireland Crew" [wink]

EDITED: GB Crew also to include southern Irland
Poll has been alterd so the two people who selected Ireland might have to amend their selection. To pick between Northern Ireland or Southern Ireland.

If anyone needs a video made or a review undertaken let me know (I do them for nothing) and if I have the bits to do it I will do my best.

We have different brands here. Nothing like what you guys get. We do have some english/ irish pubs that sell a variety of UK beer. But believe me. I will be a authority by the time my 3 years over there is over :>D

Good to see you have a firm grip of the language. :-)
I thought you were going to retire to Nevada?
So did I. I even forgot I applied for this job. It came out of nowhere.
I forgot all about even applying for it.
I must of applied when I was deployed in AFG.
I told them yea Id take the job but I need to know before Apr1 cuz Im due to retire.
When I got the first phone call (13 Mar) asking if I was still interested I told the guy that they would have to make their decision before then so I can pull back my retirement. Then monday I get a email asking If I would accept a tentative job in huntingdon England. I told the family, I thought about it and accepted it.
My 16 y.o. daughter (calm down boys I got a big bat I carry) has been talking about wanting to go there for 2 or 3 years, my son who is a excellent (brilliant in english terms) football player (soccer) has been wanting to go there and try his luck. His trainer here has connections there and will try to get him a look at.
So I took everything in consideration and accepted it.
I think I got a handle on the language, lets see
"Hey Keep how about a effin pint over here and one for me new mate"
"Bullocks the bloody reds lost to that russian team again "chelsinski"
"Bloody Ref screwed us on that call, effin wanker, go back to the coca cola league ya piker
So I think Im coming right along with my communications skills , [big grin]
Im sure they will get fine tuned after I get to know the guys at the local pub, lumber yard and tool store.
Seriously my only concern is shop space. Im going to be looking for a garage , preferably a 2 car.
Im going to sell my stationary tools to a good friend of mine and take my festools with my. Im guess I would not need a table saw, jointer, big router table etc anymore. I havent used mine since I started using the festool system. I am going to get the CMS (one with all the attachments ) and the OF2200 here before I go and ship them over.
I can pick up the centering ring for it there along with the TS55 / jig saw belt sander and module there. Ive been considering getting the TS75 module and leave it in the module just in case I have to cut some thicker wood.
But to be honest, my wood working will be playing second fiddle to traveling and seeing the country. I think its a excellent opportunity for my kids and wife, to see all that history there. We are so deeply tied with the UK in our history and they will never have a chance to get over there in there entire lives to actually send time enjoying the country and culture. Plus being so close to Scottand, Ireland, Wales , Germany, France, Austria, Chech Republic etc. Im really excited about it.
I havent been there since the 70s. Germany was divided, I looked over the wall into East Berlin, Now we can go visit it.
Im hopeing nothing happens to screw this up. Its like a dream to me.

I'm afraid your coming at a bad time to the UK if your worried about being mugged.
End of this year we are forced to open our borders to Bulgarians and Romanians........... Lets say they are not coming here to make UK a safer place
-
We dont have lumber yards we have timber yards or builders merchants. You cant get two by four but you can get four by two [smile]. Stay away from B & Q ( big box rubbish ) defo make the time to visit Axminater tools , theres one not too far away , Its a 'proper ' tool shop focused on woodwork . And yes they sell festool .

We have similar problems here to. I was sort of joking about being mugged in a pub. Here ya gotta becareful which one ya go to.
Remember I live in So Cal, we brought the world, drive by shootings, road rage, home invasion robberies, street gangs etc…
I am looking fwd to come there. Hopefully actually meet some of you.

Peter and I have been conversing, He gave me a link to Axminster. Looks like a decent supplier. Thanks for the heads up about the box store. I dont usually go to them for much. so you guys get 4X2s huh? Do they sell them by how tall they are rather then length? [cool]…
Im hopeing once I get settled to start a few small projects to keep me busy Maybe a lot of the jigs and kewl things Ive seen some of you guys post here.

They are all busy at JLC live so I guess I timed it perfectly :>D.
Id wait a little bit before you decide to this side of the pond. Things are starting to turn around, barely. But there are a lot of things happening that may throw the economy back i the dumpster.
We alway like nice decent people to come here .
What part of the country were you thinking about?
BTW I know about the kids in school thing, I have the same issue. Thats why it took me so lng to make the descision to take the job.
It is a difficult one.
-
I've only ever been to Florida Orlando to be precise 2 years ago and loved it. A guy I sub contract off told me he's off to live in Canada in a couple of months . He will still be keeping us busy here to give him a bit of extra money . He's already got a place he shares in whistler but he's not living there.
-
Canada is nice. Been to Vancouver quite a few times in the 80's. They love their bagels there.
-
Yeah my eldest went skiing with his school there last year and loved it.
-
I was planning on visiting Vancouver BC this summer, but it looks like I wont be able now (hopefully)
-
Good news for all the family........
And I'm sure the wife will be glad not to have you under her feet getting in the way retired
:-)
-
Thats always a good thing and plus no more Afghanistan or Iraq deployments either.
Shes actually been a lot happier and more relaxed since I pulled the plug on those too.
-
Ok, I've got to ask. What do you do ?
-
Not much, a little here and a little there. [tongue]
ill tell ya if'n I ver meet ya
-
Well, if you arrive on our little island you are more than welcome to pop in for a cuppa. might be a bit of a drive for ya though ;)

I am supposed to travel about 25% of the time there. I plan on visiting your island anyway. One place I always wanted to go.

Hi,
Only just found this thread but then I am still very new to both this place and Festool !
I am Steve, from London originally but now in Cornwall.
I paint mainly but do a little or everything, and so far have a RTS400 and a Rotex 90.
Looking at a CXS though I don't really need one and a TS55R though I have no idea how to use it to anything like its abilities !
Also looking for help when the credit card bill comes thudding loudly through the letterbox.....
-
Belated welcome!
I think your next buy should be a vacuum to use with your sanders no???
-
Welcome Steve!
Where in Cornwall are you? I'm in St Mawes.
Andrew

I forgot to mention my midi extractor...
Roseland - I am in st austell so not a million miles from you but I work in London most of the time which it is where I am having right now to try to earn the money to fund this stuff!

I thought I might make use of this Topic I started a while ago! Although I started it mainly to see how many UK members there are and I thought it might be a good way to make ALL UK members aware of UK events etc
I thought I could use this topic to see if some one might have an answer! I know Festool Should answer his question! Just be nice if some one else was able to answer it

Hopefully, or maybe, someone from Festool UK will learn of this post and get in touch with him. If he hasn't gotten in touch with them directly he should. I haven't followed the link to see what happened, I just saw his question in that other thread and hoped it was an easy answer for a UK user.

Hi all, I'm a recent addition to the forum from Axbridge in Somerset. Just stumbled on this thread and thought I'd better add my name and location.
Been a Festool user for the past few years and have recently started to add more green to my collection (mostly due to the £50 off vouchers doing the rounds).
Anyway. Hi.

Have any uk members had any luck with running a kapex 110v on a generator
after speaking to a guy at festool he said it should run on a genny if my ts55 does, if not i could return it
so i have tried it and it does not run but i do like the saw so would like to keep it if i can find a genny it will run on
If you have a genny it will run on can you post the make and model
mine is a honda eg1900 and as said that will not run it
-

Well the festool guy needs to go back to a festool training class!
Saying if the TS55 will run the kapax should is rubbish!
I had same problem on a job I turned up to find my kapex wouldn't run. I spent 1hour messin about no luck. Yet my TS55?worked. Luckily my mate had his dewalt chop saw and left it for me to use while he went on another job.
You need a generator with a clean sine I think. The kapex is really picky doesn't like dirty electricity
-
have you found a specific model that will run it?
about 50% of my work is done of a genny
-
This thread is not particularly about the Kapax, but about the OF 2200 router. The principle is the same and i'm sure the same theory will apply.
http://festoolownersgroup.com/festool-tool-problems/of2200-router-power-issue/ (http://festoolownersgroup.com/festool-tool-problems/of2200-router-power-issue/)
Hope this helps Ifit!
Tim.

I can't recommend a generator sorry because 95% of my work is mains power.

And welcome Toto!

Hi Guys, Toto from Wirral North West
Welcome toto from a fellow Wirrall resident [thumbs up]

Is this the best thread to ask a sort of UK specific question? I'll ask it anyway and maybe someone can move it if it's the wrong place.
Has anyone successfully used any other vac attachments (specifically Henry as they're cheap as chips on eBay) on a Festool hose? I'm weighing up buying just a 36mm Festool hose as I need one, or paying the extra and getting the tradesman's cleaning set which includes the 36mm hose and various attachments. This would mean chucking away my large collection of siemens, henry, karcher attachments that I have been using on various incarnations of - you guessed it - siemens, henry & karcher vacs over the years.
I didn't need the angled wand bit on my last vac as it was built into the hose, but I'd be looking to get a henry one as they're metal and cheap and try to ram it into the 36mm somehow.
Ta in advance.
I've also just ordered a couple of these to get my bosch sander and chop saw to fit the hose perfectly by the way. http://www.espares.co.uk/product/es538504/karcher-vacuum-tool-adaptor-sleeve?ApplianceTypeId=1086&ManufacturerId=877 (http://www.espares.co.uk/product/es538504/karcher-vacuum-tool-adaptor-sleeve?ApplianceTypeId=1086&ManufacturerId=877) - just cut it at the stop you want to use and as it's rubber it fits perfectly. The large end pops straight over the end of the 27mm hose - not sure about the 36 yet as I don't have it.
UPDATE: I've started a new thread on the subject in case it's not a UK specific thing.

Ron - I don't believe it, changing your name just because you are here.
Actually it makes sense for loads of people....
In the UK it costs a small fortune to get a personalised number plate for the car. But, for just £25 you can change your name by deed poll. So, keep the random registration that came with the car and change your name to match it.
Peter ( or Xavia Conan Zumigast - the plate on the small car!)

I'm Mark from Derbyshire, just recently made my first Festool purchases, unfortunately, for the bank account, I can feel an addiction coming on.
Love them already.

Been reading this site for a while and thought it was time to join in now as my festool collection is growing!
I buy all my festool gear from Axminster in High Wycombe.

Welcome Jimmy ()

Come on GB-crew. Get involved! If enough interest is showed hopefully we would be included more often!

We need more people from the UK to declare that they exist rather than just lurking in the background. That is the only way that Festool UK can be persuaded to see the FOG as a viable entity and a useful conduit to the UK tool owning fraternity.
Come on, do it now, tell us who you are - this might, one day, mean that there will be competitions sponsored by Festool UK.
I would encourage someone to start a similar thread for Europe as a whole, for Australia and New Zealand and perhaps a ROW one as well.
But for now, if you are a UK person and have not put your head above the keyboard then summon up the courage to out yourself (in the Festool sense) now.
Peter
-
Hi Peter,
What do we need to do?
-
Hi Everyone,
I'm from the South East and was a lurker here for quite a while before using the knowledge I gained to tart making my first Festool purchases. Started with a TS55 and have recently added the Kapex 120 with UG kit, Rotex 90, CMS with OF1400, Domino 500 and a Midi Vacuum. With a £50 voucher just arrived I'm on the prowl for a new addition.
Kevin
-
Hi all
I too am a long time lurker now new member in the south east. Just started the festool addiction with a MFT3, TS55EBQ and rails, RO90dX and OF1400. Fitting a kitchen today.
I wouldn't mind the odd competition either. What do we need to do? What percentage of those on the forum are NAINA.
Regards
Jools
-
Hi Kevin and Jools welcome!
I'm not to sure what the videos need to be.
I think demonstrating and explaining the best features of a festool tool you like the most.......
So basically making some one wanting to buy the tools after they watched your video.
Jmb
-
Hi Peter,
What do we need to do?
Hi Rusty,
I think that you have done it already - you have joined in and are visible. We need as many UK Festool owners to become active or at least visible here on the FOG.
Also, please tell your friends and workmates who are also Festool owners how valuable the FOG has become thanks to the participation of so many enthusiastic members, particularly in North America, and the fantastic efforts of the moderators.
FOG membership has increased my knowledge and my confidence using my Festool kit and I have been helped out time and again by input from others.
Well done JMBFestool for looking after this thread.
Peter
-
It's our dry sense of humour, it's NAINA, so we keep our stiff upper lips buried under our bowler hats whilst we drink our Pimms - or so they think. Me? I like a nice Belgian beer...how very British.
I have learnt SO MUCH from this forum, and given I've had Festool gear for years now (well, a TS55), it's funny how little I knew. I have more gear now, and yes, I have a problem.
-
Hi folks from the very south eastern part of the uk.... Three steps to the left and I'll get wet feet!
All I know is that Peter Parfitt has a lot to answer for..... Every time he makes a video it costs me a fortune [big grin]
I just hope he never reviews an Aston Martin or a Porsche 911!..
I am having a great time reviewing the posts here and learning something new every day. great to see what other FOG members are up to.
Best regards to all

Welcome Jeff. Im at the opposite end, 10 miles from John O Groats.

So here I am, based in Central Scotland at the foot of the Ochil Hills.
Thanks for the huge knowledge base.

It probably sounds right in your head but i don't get it [huh] [poke]
Lol my bad not sure how to get it to sound across txt form!
It's the way they pronounce oo in words like book and look etc. its little stupid but funny sounding not something to be proud off.
-
Fortunately for me, being 15 miles away I am fortunate not to of inherited the accent. Although I do get a lot of comments saying that I sound posh.
One really doesn't understand that comment when I receive it however [big grin]
Accents should always be cherished however, as it would be a boring world if we all sounded the same.

Hello, from gert lush Bristol. James
Hi James, thanks for joining the GB CREW! [thumbs up]
I'm about an hour up the M5 from you in Worcester, so not that far away.
-
Cheers Garry.

Yes yes, depending on where you are in Bristol, I'm either an hour away, or 20 mins - traffic and all that.
Hello!
-
Hi all
Another lurker signing in for the GB crew ;D just bought my first ct and ts55. It's opened my eyes to what I have been missing out on. Ehl65 and of1010 is definitely on the cards in the very near future!
-
Hi - thought I'd say hello from sunny Devon - near Tavistock.
Woodworking has been a bit neglected for a while with a new business and young family, but enjoying getting back into it and also enjoying choosing my next Festool purchase!
I'm mainly hobby but got into Festool building furniture and fitting out my retail shop. Helped me justify the purchases - and also dust was a concern - especially once the shop fitted out.

Welcome Jak147 and festivus.
Most people seem to start with the track saw. It's like Festool's gateway drug (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gateway_drug_theory)... [blink]

Heres a pretty Cool article I found
http://www.popularwoodworking.com/woodworking-blogs/editors-blog/table-saw-safety-why-the-british-think-were-crazy (http://www.popularwoodworking.com/woodworking-blogs/editors-blog/table-saw-safety-why-the-british-think-were-crazy)
I found it informative as I was having issues with timber binding when I was ripping it using the CMS/CS 50 fence. I had the fence set up the way we do in the states.
Anyway Im going to give attaching the sliding fence that came with the CMS router module on the CS 50 fence a try.
The reason is I got the sliding fence off the CS 70 and its way long to do this safely
Now I realize that this fence system is set up for the euro way.
Duh huh?
Im posting this here b/c its more of a euro UK thing then a N/A thing

What? "While it’s easy to poke fun at the British for their quaint use of our language" [scared] what are they teaching you guys in your history classes?
-
I see you read the utter drivel that followed too
-
What?? [eek]
It just discusses some of the differences we have in table saw fences.
I had some issues that it answered and confirmed by festool Uk. Im guessing what got yas all riled up was this quote
>>While it’s easy to poke fun at the British for their quaint use of our language, their fondness for strange-flavored potato chips and their inability to make a car that doesn’t leak oil, it’s hard to argue with their approach to table saw safety.<<
The way I read it , it complements you guys.
Well we do speak a different English. But I thought it was a tongue in cheek comment,
tongue in cheek means making a joke/ being funny.

I have removed several offensive posts that do not conform to our forum guidelines. Please do not resort to personal attacks, name calling, quips about one's nationality, etc. Keep it on the up and up, please.
It would be a real bummer to have to lock down a 300 post thread.
Thank you. Carry on.

So, give them a like!

Yes, I keep forgetting my E numbers. I think I must have had an E39 - whatever it was it was a 530D and the most wonderful car that I have ever owned. It was green too - a Festool car!

Sorry I'm another 20k down after just buying some felder machinery which will hopefully be arriving tomoro or Friday.
I sorted out a biomass boiler system from a company for my parents which was 20k
Which hasn't turned out very well. :( Hence why I'm keeping quiet about workshop... Because the company liquidated after my parents paid £9k deposit. Not sure what's going to happen yet. Just seems one thing gets sorted with the workshop another problem pops up.
-
Ooof sorry to hear that jmb. Piggy banks taking a pounding! Get some pics up of the new kit in the shop.

Hi Ant, welcome to the FOG.
Looks like you've picked up the popular Kapex/UG/Midi combo - you'll love it. Problem is, you'll start looking at all your other tools as inferior models from here on in and it can get *very* expensive, *very* fast! [wink]
-
Thanks Garry, yes it all arrived on Friday (good service from ffx) tried it out on Saturday on some skirting & architrave. Very happy with the results! Also purchased the BHC 18 sds a few weeks ago & very happy with that too. [smile]

Hi I'm Daniel from Norwich. Been using festool for about a year now. Started with EHL65EQ planer, then got Carvex 420 and SYS ZH-SYS-PS 420 (which I bought off Wuffles, I'm assuming it's the same bloke on here) and finally for Christmas my wife bought me TS55REBQ plunge saw with 2 X 1.4 rails, Connect, rail case, fastening clamps FSZ 120 and festool tape measure. I really don't know what to go for next, I need a new drill, dust extraction or a router.

There were no changes to the dealers John, so I only updated the "normal" user list above. You weren't missed and are still marked as active in post #1. [smile]
jmbfestool updates the list in post #1 by "quoting" my post and cutting the code, then I delete the post I make with the updates to keep the thread clean.

Welcome Jim

Hi from sunny (at the moment) Cornwall. I'm an enthusiastic amateur but I appreciate the quality and system integration that Festool provides. I have had my TS55 and 3 rails for a couple of years now and it sees regular use, I also have an OF1400 and a CTL26 somewhere in the back of a FEDEX van, which I am looking forward to using when I get home from work tomorrow morning. Oh, and SWMBO is clearly brand aware, she bought me a black and green dustpan and brush for my garage the other day [big grin]

Hello all, Dan from Bristol but I guess you know that already!
I have been reading for months and posted a couple times, but not really god involved much yet.
I started a new business in inbuilt storage last year and have invested heavily in the Green, 500 domino, 55x 2, 1010, 420, 420 cordless, 150/5, ro90, t18, cxs, lr32, Kapex 120, ug wings, mft3, 3mtr/.8/2 x 1.4 and holy rails.... plus a bunch of items I can't think of now. yup hooked!!
without the above my business would not be doing as well as it is, they are tools you need to know how to use at the end of the day, but man does it make a difference using quality built and designed machines!
glad to be a part of the fold.

Alright guys,

Hi Seth,
mainly peoples projects and adaptations of Systainers. I like to keep things neat and organised - Festool helps me a lot in that regard.
My first Systainer project will most likely be introducing a small Makita compressor and brad nailer to a Sys5.
-
Kool Craig welcome to the FOG,
Now you have the very distinct opportunity to join the get Jobby a conturo club. It's a very exclusive club, it will only cost ya a measly £200 to join and weekly dues of £50.....

Well hello from Shetland. When's the truck coming up here then Phil? [wink]

Hello to all, from sometimes-sunny Weston-super-Mare in Somerset (UK South West).
I can't get make it to the Festool Roadshow at Yeovil this year but I look forward to next year's opportunities.
Colin P.
-
Welcome Colin !
That's a dangerous place to live, right near the cheapest Festool dealer in the country :)
-
Thank you Joiner1970
(....) right near the cheapest Festool dealer in the country :)
Do you mean the Yeovil shop? (I haven't visited there yet.)
Or perhaps you've also spotted the excellent prices I'm getting at my local Nuts & Bolts (http://www.powertool-supplies.co.uk/) Festool dealer [smile]
But yes ... it's proving 'dangerously' easy to just pop in there and browse & then spend (again) on a whim!!

Hi Guys from SW Scotland, i have been hovering for a while now looking at all the pictures of peoples work and getting some tips for my new workshop I am in the process of fitting out a new 18'x10' workshop to go with my other 16'x12'. I haven't done too much woodwork at present although i have been collecting a few green tools. I currently have a ts55, Ctl midi, RO150, DF500 and a nice new shiny ks120 still in the box. I am really looking forward to getting properly setup and getting into my first real projects, Peter P kindly sent me the plans for his Kapex stand which i think will make a good first project.
All the best, Lee

Hello from fife, Scotland
Hi Ryan and welcome to the FOG!
Tell us a little about yourself and your use of Festool tools...
-
Been registered on the FOG for quote a while, have only posted a couple of times.
I am a kitchen specialist and over the last 2 years have upgraded all my tools one by one to festool. I absolutely love it. Makes my enjoyable job twice as enjoyable! I'm self employed and at the moment I just sub contract to one firm. I really enjoy my work and I get never ending satisfaction from fitting someone's dream kitchen (most of the time, we all get bad customers from time to time) i am a time served joiner/ carpenter but my apprenticeship mainly consisted of kitchens and at the moment, 99% of my work is kitchens. I would love to have a workshop one day to manufacture furniture as well as kitchens. I have done a few pieces in my own home including, coffee table, dining table, and I made a bespoke fitted bench seating area for my dining table with built in storage. A few custom wine racks and cabinets for customers which I really like doing. I have all the festools I "need" for my job but there are a few extra toys I would like to have anyway, mainly a domino, MFT3 and CMS table but they will need to wait for a while yet
-
The Kingdom of Fyfe eh, welcome Ryan.
JMB, nice pics, well one of them [tongue]
Big belly ? Does that mean what i think it means ???
-
Great guy by the way, in the British Army.
They need/want a simple butcher block island( 4 legs, bottom shelf and a top) for the kitchen. Obviously it's not feasible for me to build it and ship to them.
PM or email me If anyone is interested in building it for me and we can discuss the details , payment etc.
Cheers Mate,
Lee

So obvious when you know.

My wife is from North Yorkshire. So I voted for her as she helps out in the shop from time to time. And she usually brings me down a nice cuppa in the morning.

Hi. I'm from Hertfordshire and a hobbyist who has caught the Festool bug! [eek] mainly due to the FOG!

Hi @LoftyDave - Welcome to the FOG! There are quite a few hobbyist/DIY users here (me included) so you're not alone.

You poor guy. We will be here to help you with excuses to tell the wife when she notices the bank account shrinking [welcome]
-
Many thanks for the welcomes.
So far I have been able to convince SWMBO that I needed the TS 55, RO 150, Domino DF 500, MFT/3, OF 1400 and the CTL Midi plus a few clamps and other accessories.
Now I just need some convincing arguments for a Kapex, LR32, MFS, ....
But I guess I won't win that one until the number of finished projects exceeds the number of tools. She for some reason doesn't count jigs and other tools as projects!

Hi LoftyDave, welcome.
It sounds like you have it bad!! We're not very good for reducing your need for new tools, but like Jobsworth said we are great for excuses.

Mine is the same. Apparently the tables/cupboards/storage in the garage workshop don't count either... [huh]

Hello from Manchester , Been a lurcher for a while but now happy to have joined the grey and green team 👍
-
Welcome to the FOG @IWANTBLUE and @Chef - it's great to see more lurkers joining the "visible" membership and engaging on the forum.
-
Hello all, newly joined, but often browsed, so feel familiar with a few of you guys even though I'm new!
@jmbfestool I absolutely love your van racking, and had a similar idea when planning my T6 racking recently, of have 96mm centre holes on the side walls for clamping awkward items that would otherwise rattle around, but thought it might be too much work and use too many clamps etc. Ended up putting in a flash floor for tracks, APS900 and levels etc instead, and yet to do any racking work for the boxes, so may plagiarise your designs if thats ok.. I don't have a workshop as yet, but like the modular idea for adding/removing boxes. I did a lot of staring into my van also, and currently have my feet resting on 22 300x400mm half inch ply stacked up under the computer table! haha [big grin]

Who’s going W18?
[attachimg=1]
-
No one ? ☝️
-
I might go, I try and go every few years but it is a bit of a trek for me.
A lot of the kit there wouldn't even fit in my workshop but it is good to see some of the amazing stuff that is available and chat to some of suppliers that I use etc.

Hi guys,
Been reading up on this site for a while so thought i should say hello.
Also based up in N. Yorkshire
-
Welcome robump,
I thought us Yorkshire men had a reputation for being tight yet we all seem to be interested in Festool, it just doesn't make sense [eek]
Or maybe Festool is actually good value for money and we see that [cool]
-
well. originaly a cheshire lad...

Evening all.. Lurked here for a while, now have multiple Festool machines so ought to say Hi :)
I'm in the South Downs area, moving back to Dorset later this year. Just a hobbyist, trying to level up my skillset in my very small workspace, to justify having blown some redundancy ££ on the tools I've lusted after for ages!
Enjoying every minute of practising the (new to me) techniques and skills, and am blown away when results are exceeding anything Ive done in the past. Why didn't I get good tools and kit before?! No guilt here on the money spent, I'm hoping these tools will see me out, and it's proving so rewarding :)
