For a great meal go to Ridge Terrace or Log Jam.
I live here and they are our favorites.

A great trip on my T-110 back in my carefree days. I met some friends up there and we took the boat trip to Ticonderoga.

Also, I went fishing for a few days on Lake Bomozene (sp?) just south of Lake George, long before my biking days.  We did not catch much, but i remember the mosquitoes tried to carry the three of us off, boat and all.  ::)

One always forgets how beautiful NY state is living close to NYC myself.

If u would cut away the city (and all the nonsense associated it with) it would even be a conservative state ...
