Kapex hose
« on: May 08, 2020, 05:18 PM »
I searched the forum for a source of a 36mm hose for my new Kapex , and I know that Bob used to have one,but how about now?
I know I can cut one down, but would like a better solution .

I have a Bosch hose , but I don’t think it’s A.S
Thanks in advance ,
Charlie
Btw I’ve been wanting that saw for a long time but waited till the motor issues got worked out. Hopefully

You don't need an AS hose on the Kapex as it doesn't produce dust for long enough to build up any voltage. I also think that the frame is already earthed via the power cord.

I have been using a short length of 50 mm black hose (off an old shop vac) without any problems but with a huge improvement in suction. I had to make an adaptor out of some PVC plumbing to fit the Kapex.

Thanks,
I was thinking about a 50mm hose also.
I cut and rigged up a old Bosch hose I had laying around so I’ll run that.
Thanks again,
Charlie

I have used my Kapex with a regular (non anti-static) hose for years. The Kapex's power plug is two-pronged, so not grounded.
