Good Morning,
The four judges have conferred, and we've made our decision.

AND THE WINNER OF THE MAIN TOOL CONTEST IS.... Eiji Fuller, and his Entry Doors Project!

Eiji will receive an MFK 700 Modular Rouer from Festool USA.

There were several tremendous projects posted this month.  I'm very glad to see that the number of projects posted since the contest began has increased dramatically.  I also am proud of the way this contest has generated more buzz about the work our members are doing with their tools.

I think this was a great start to a new element of the forum!  Of course, we had to work out some kinks in the contest system the first month, but now I think we have it down and can look forward to several exciting contests in the months ahead.

Remember, since we have open deadlines, if you did not win this month, your project will be automatically considered for future contests.

Congratulations to Eiji, and thank you to everyone who submitted a project.  And a big thanks to all members who contributed to the discussion about the contest.

Thank you,
Matthew, judges, and everyone. What an honor! I can't wait to see what I can do with the 700. Matthew the idea of the contest is great and hopefully we can continue with them. I want to write more but I have to get ready for church. I thank God for giving me the skill to do what I love.

Congradulations Eiji, You earned it. I had to borrow a computer to see who won but I really already knew. Your work speaks for itself. Fine job my friend. :) Oops, I just realized I'm logged in under my BILs user name. Be right back.

Hey, that's great news! Way to go Eiji. You've set the bar way too high, though. We're all going to need professional photographers to follow us around and document our work, if we're ever going to have a chance of winning  ;)

The nice thing about this is that I know you'll be putting that router to very good use. It couldn't have gone to a better home. There are going to be some really happy door owners in San Diego over the next few years!

The bitterness of poor quality, lingers long after the cheap price is forgotten.

Congratulations Eiji,

You did an excellent job on the doors and showing how you built them!  I'll be waiting to see what you can do with the MFK 700.

Tom.
