This latest Veritas marking gauge looks awesome.
Not sure if the Pi gauge block is my favorite or the class 4 indicator laser.
But... if you use the laser do you even have to cut the wood?

I wonder if this comes in a left-handed version?

Lots of innovation goes into this AF-Tool series, Woodpeckers could learn a lot from emulating their design process.

I always feel compelled to buy these one-time offerings, as recognition to their staff's dedication to advancing the art of specialized, narrowly-focused, obfuscated tools.

There are 13 other videos on the LV site if you have time to waste.
The custom plane one is interesting.

Obfuscated. Darn, does it also come in metric?

What I find really interesting about these is that each is a real tool. Quote from description page of the Spider Vise;

This is number ten in our ongoing series of April 1st products. If you're interested in having a look at the previous nine, just search for "AFD" using the Search function above. While the Lee Valley Precision Story Tape is the only product that's actually available for purchase, each of the products depicted have actually been manufactured by Veritas®. Not only do they exist, they function exactly as we say: the tool belt really holds more than 500 pounds, the gang saw mechanism really functions as shown, and the Spider Vise actually works. That's part of the fun – the tools have to be credible, and to be credible they have to work.

Nope, for that you need to order the converterator add-on.
