No thank you!  I like creativity, but this isn't one of those times.

The new Festool ks-glide with quick-fix motor change capability. Never wait for customer service to replace your burnt motor again. Limited time promo version comes with 2 spare motors in a green systainer (nevermind they sold out while you read this ad).

Buy the anti-kickback accessory rod (sold individually but requires 2) for added safety.

looks 'good to go' to me. The only occupational safety hazard I see here is lack of connection to dust collector.

Heard often in this shop: "...hold my beer while I dimension this board using 'The Widowmaker'"

at least he's clamping the workpiece. Safety first.

So he figured out to copy Bosch's design, the Chinese do that every day,
turn around, and sell the copy for huge profits with near zero R&D costs.

Nothing to be proud of there as far as I am concerned.

So, if you built, for example, a Roubo workbench you can't be proud if it because its a copy? Bosch copied that design too. That double articulated arm style is at least 100 years old. BTW pendulum mortiser, aka Domino, is also a century old.
It's not as if he's trying to patent or sell it. Just a fun DIY project.

thought of another.

seller to sceptical buyer.

'its very econmical, only 1 finger per cut'

doesn't notice that the seller has (whats left of) hands behind his back
