Soooooo.....full-size or thumbnails?
« on: December 05, 2017, 05:44 PM »
Just wondering... what is preferred when placing pictures in a post; in-line full-size or in-line expandable thumbnail pictures?

It depends on whether or not you will reduce the size in kb of your images.  We have many Members here who have issues with images and many times it is because of the size and quality of the image.  Expandable thumbnails might get you past the limitations - or not.

I personally prefer full size but take the time to resize and reduce quality to improve load times on mobile devices.

I prefer thumbnails.  A thumbnail is much bigger when expanded than an inline fullsize image.  I can see much more detail with an expanded thumbnail.

Definitely Full size but with file size reduction. I sometimes combine images to present one full size composite image. I seldom open thumbnails as they often take for ever to open.

If you don't like Signatures, just go to Look and Layout and tick No Signatures.

We got rid of dial up many moons ago.  [big grin]

I prefer full size images, but I always resize my pictures to around 800 pix width. I'm not one of those people who simply slap their 4,5 MB 4608 x 2592 raw camera pictures on the forum. If you are, a thumbnail might be better for you, but prepair for long loading times.
