Howdy;
I've been setting up a Woodpecker slab flattening mill, which has a 2.5" dust collection port (2 of them, but they're already Y'd together.  I'll be using the Festool 2200 router with it.

I've got shop-wide dust collection that will let me do a 6" or 4" drop over the mill.  I'm trying to figure out the most compact way to combine both the router and the mill dust collection into a single hose.  Specifically I'm wondering if there's a Y connector that has 4 or 6" on one end, with a 2.5" and festool-sized hole on the the other.

When I say festool-sized, one option I've got is a 16" section of hose that terminates with the 27mm coupler on each end (image attached).  If I can't use that it's fine, just a possible option.

In the demo images and videos, they appear to use the OF-2200 without collection on the tool itself, just on the mill mount.  I would have assumed that meant that the mounted collection was adequate to keep up with the router (to the extent that any collection can, really).

I can't imagine that you would see enough additional collection to justify the complication of a second set of Y adapters just to combine the mounted collection with the on-tool port.

Have you tried it out to see if the collection is adequate without on-tool collection?

I would think you'd be better off whipping out a Festool CT and connecting it to the tool in parallel with the dust collector rather than trying to split the hose a second time, personally.

That's exactly what I did in this Deep Dive video I did on the Slab Flattening Mill PRO. The sled ports are connected to the Shopsmith dust collector you see in the background and the 2200 vacuum port is connected to my CT-22. I bundled the hoses together with velcro strips to keep things slightly more organized.

@squall_line -- that's an interesting point -- I've seen a few videos both with and without.  I figured the more places I could pick up the dust the better.
