Will the WCR 1000 fit with CT26 & CT SYS VA
« on: June 06, 2020, 09:47 AM »
I have both the CT26 and the FT cyclone in use.  At this time I don't use the taller, clear section of the cyclone, but may in the future.  I wanted to double check to make sure the "Festool Work Center WCR 1000 (497471)" will work with my current configuration.  Been wanting the work center and now with the price increase, its moving up the priority list.  Thanks for any pointers or tips.

If my memory is current, the WCR relies on the Classic clips in the corners to attach and therefore would not secure to the top of the cyclone.

Thanks Chris.  Classic, meaning pre-T-Lock ?

Yes. The classic was before the T Loc.

Thanks guys.  I guess I will get my money's worth out of the 30 day return policy.  Got nothing to lose.

Careful, Rick. The 30-day policy applies to tools, not accessories. I don’t think the WCR qualifies as a tool, but check with your dealer.

Mine's on a CT-22. I mounted a Sortainer on the CT-22 for the common items like calipers, plyers, drill attachments (90º, eccentric, depth-set, and bit adapters). I built a frame around some ply that friction fits over the top of the Sortainer then bolted the WCR-1000 to it. I like that the WCR is now higher up, the Sortainer is infinitely helpful, and I inserted cork-topped ply onto the deck of the WCR-1000 for stowing tools while working. They don't slide and if a sander is winding down, it won't skate. Even if I upgraded to a dust extractor that took the WCR natively, I'd replicate this setup because it is too useful.

It takes making a frame with a bit of ply: 20 minutes to a handier setup.

Thanks Paul, any chance of a picture of your set up? Thank you.
