Confused by your request. Festool products ship for free (shipping is included in the purchase price). If you're buying used/preowned then you're at the mercy of the seller's ability to secure fairly priced shipping and/or whatever shipping account(s) they have (or want to use).

Greyhound has decent rates for shipping. The downside is that they don’t do door to door, so the seller will have to drop off and seller has to pick up at a bus terminal.

Re: Greyhound - be advised that because of chain of custody issues, PayPal doesn't authroize their service (which means no protections for buyers or sellers).

Sorry for any confusion, it's pre-owned(1yr) and I'm just trying to see what others experiences were.

15-20 pounds and oversized - I'm not surprised.  Especially if it's not in your region.

USPS has more reasonable rates.

Max allowable weight for USPS is 70# (and, generally speaking, 108" length and girth combined). In my experience, USPS is usually the least expensive option (particularly in cases where neither party has access to UPS or FedEx discounts). USPS Parcel Select Ground is usually cheaper than Priority though the difference there has to do with shipping times (the former is ground the latter is air) and insurance coverage (Priority includes some insurance while Parcel Select Ground does not - needs to be purchased separately if desired). Also, eBay sellers often qualify for USPS disounts negotiated on their behalf by eBay (though not every USPS service has a discount available).

Also there’s ups rates that vary. Most will charge a retail rate. But if you know somebody at a company that’s ships . They might do it at cost.
While I lived in a small private college town the school shipping place would do it at cost plus a few bucks.

It's been posted in other forums that Fastenal stores offer machinery shipping between their stores. I don't have first-hand knowledge of that, however.

Open a UPS shipping account.  They frequently run % off promotions that are cheaper than the negotiated discounts my current low volume business was granted.   Or find a friend with a high volume account.
