Where did you find that? I would love to get my hands on a couple of those!
The hose adapter is under the “New” for 2020 online and in the catalog .
Mine was purchased at Apex Saw and Tools in Reno Nevada.

I can't find anything on Festool #768235 ??

My D27 hose end is worn out too, but I have zero tools that have a benefit from the locking thing, so I'd like the old style hose end too.

I ordered one september last year, partnumber was 768135. (It's the adapter to put in a 36mm hose-end, that converts to the old 27
mm hose-end)

I put in an order yesterday and had a nice email from Warren (unless his team sign off with his name).

Yea that sounds like her. I would call and ax say do you have that thing that clips on to the CMS? She's politely discuss what I was talking about and shed go through ekat with me we'd have a nice conversation while she was doing it. It got to the point thats Id ID meself as her favorite customer, "good morning young lady its your favorite customer again" shed know exactly whoI was hehehehehehe

Kerrie from FT UK was like that to. Dont know if shes still there or not

First Festools for me today - ETS EC 125 and the CT MIDI. Build quality is definitely nicer than any other tools I've used, the vacuum (sorry, dust extractor) is very powerful and quite quiet. The sander is not quite as amazing as I expected, still has a decent amount of vibration (I'm coming from a $150 Bosch ROS which wasn't bad but I couldn't use it for more than 30-45min at a time) and my hands were kinda tingly after only about 30min of sanding an oak countertop. The whole reason I got this setup was to avoid the vibration issues...wondering if I either had my expectations too high or could it be a bad/out of balance sander?

Did you turn the suction down on your vac when sanding? You only need it about 1/4 power for sanding. Might help.

The body of your new sander is different from the one you were used to. Your hands need to get used to the new shape. I don't think the vibration of the sander is to blame, the ETS EC models are very smooth. Give it some time.

true. Not sure how you are holding it but you can gently hold it, instead of grasping, if that makes sense? I also have become proficient at using either hand to sand, that way you’ve reduced the vibrations by half and less fatigue if you’re suffering from CTS.

Appreciate the help gentlemen. I definitely think I am white-knuckling the sander as that is what I'm used to...so I tried a looser grip and it definitely reduces the vibration. I did have the suction all the way up, and reducing it to a little less than half does not necessarily reduce vibration but it does keep the sander from trying to get away from me and thus decreasing my need to grip it so hard, therefore reducing my perceived vibration. The only thing I am slightly concerned with is dust collection when using a lower suction on the MIDI - I don't have an air particulate meter handy but it would be interesting to see if there are more airborne particles when using lower suction settings while sanding.

I have a Dylos DC1700 air quality monitor in my shop and check it frequently when I'm using my ETS EC150/3 and the CT36. I set the suction at a little under halfway and can sand through the various grits for over an hour without being concerned with the buildup of dust in the air. I also have a Record Power AC400 room air filter running on the slowest speed, so I'm sure this helps.
When I'm sanding horizontal sheets, I hold the 150 at the power and vacuum hose connection point. I saw this method on one of the Festool videos, and like it. Any of the vibration I felt holding the 150 by the barrel grip is completely gone now. Prior to the 150, I used a Bosch green 125mm ROS, and could only use it for about 20 minutes before the vibration became too much for me.

I just a RO125 on tuesday and thought it broken when I first tried to use it. It was all over the place vibrating the junk out of my hands and trying to jump right off the work piece(endgrain cutting board). I read about changing the vacuum settings and holding the sander by the hose/power connection end. Once I adjusted these things it became a different machine. I don't even need to keep a hand on the from of it. I could hold a beer in one hand sand with the other and not really even have to hold on with any amount pressure. And even with the power on my vac turned all the way down dust extraction is still great. just a thin amount left on the piece that is usually left behind anyway. Almost imperceptible visually.

It will be nice for the small odd job and final cleanup.

bought some repair parts, the little black doohickies that attach the MFT cross supports to the MFT cross bar. Hey I didnt know they had them as replaceable until Allan told me. It took the FT parts lady quit a while to find them but she did...

Got a cordless Vecturo set. Will be great addition to my kit for an up coming project. The project is to install about a 1000 square feet of nickel gap tongue and groove on the walls of an out building. Lots and lots of outlets, plates and switches which need to be trimmed around. Also very excited to use it to remove old adhesive, grout, etc during demo. Up until now all I have had is a 10 year old Porter Cable corded model. Big step up. I think being cordless will generate more use as well.

Which bag do you have?

I also bought my 2nd holey 1400 recently, but I have the old style Festool guiderail bag, the one with the separate pocket for a 800 rail. Doubt I can fit 3 rails in there. (Also have non-holey 1400)

I have the Makita bag. It's fitting the two 1400s and an 800 with TSO connectors in the pocket.

Rotex RO 90 - my first Festool. I'll be using it for stripping 2k ureathane and epoxy from bathtubs. I'm hoping to use it for leveling out the primer coat as well. Used it for about 10 minutes today and am sold on another.

@pdxrealtor - You may already know this but for the contours of a bathtub an interface pad (497481) or two may really come in handy. I don’t think that they make the extra soft backing pad for the RO 90 but the interface pads can be stacked on top of each other to create a great contour. If you use them just be super careful when you pull them off as they can tear easily and they are too pricey for that.

Festool 204822... but that one has a permanent (?) bypass. Great...

I guess for the oldstyle D27 hose I need the 202346?

Ha, I am amazed to see they made this. Another sign they closely watch this forum.

And I can't understand why Festool keeps doing everything that has to do with vacuum cleaners wrong.

PERMANENT bypass ... really? For the small sanders, ok, but how about when you're doing clean up or have a saw attached or a router? Then you want maximum suction. So you can't have this nozzle installed on your hose. Who uses his vac only with one type of tool?

Why oh why didn't they make the nozzle with an adjustable ring like plenty of other vacuum cleaner brands do? Twist it one way, the valve opens, twist it the other, it closes? I'm baffled.
