I Went shopping today after a long Festool pause. The new MFt Fixing Set, a 3/8" square FastFix chuck I never really wanted one of the centrotec 3/8" or 1/4" adaptors as I feel  they add too much length to the drill and seemed overpriced as well, the 3/8" FF chuck will keep a very short drill length for working in tight places, and just are better in regards to general ergonomics i will be using it on the PDC, it's also very solidly built and has a very solid positive lock. Apparently it will also work on the CXS. a  centrotec hook screwer inner thinga-ma-jig, and a second 14.4 v 5.2 Ah battery for use on my TI impact.. And an extra Centrotec chuck as there wasn't one included in my TI impact basic kit..

Found a reason to Festool shop..

Scored VS600 dovetail jig with 3 templates / bits and dust connector for the 1010.

Looking fwd to using it. Always had problems with other manufacturers DT jigs. I'm hoping this will be easier to set up and use.

Hi!

Got me a SYS-CART today. And a heavily price reduced 1.5 Ah 10.8 V battery for my CXS - one can never have to many batteries and why not have a 1.5 Ah to go with the 2.6 Ah's.

Kind regards,
Oliver

Today ... VAC-SYS, Pump, SE1, SE2, 2x sets of heads, extra round head (coz the SE2 comes with a rectangular one), 2x Gecko clamps (rail versions), 5 pack of SYS-AZ drawers.

I've decided I'm only going to invest in SYS-AZ drawers for "stations" ... can't bring myself to buy 100+ of the things, though I'd probably be more inclined if they offered 3 more drawer variants (an end on shape for toolbox and canti, midi version and a maxi version). What'd look really cool would be (yeh a total wank) a SYS-Door that worked with the SYS-AZ format to offer a cupboard opening [wink]

@mirock How about some SYS-5 cupboard door fronts? [big grin]

@dalep please share your thoughts on the Conturo when you get to know it and whether you're considering the MFT/3-Conturo (and what you think the best trimming options are).

There's not a lot of opinions about yet.

My local is putting on a Conturo demo this week. Though is seems there a fair few sold in Oz, I don't know one single local guy with experience.

Made my first festool purchase last weekend and finally got a chance to use them a bit..

CT 36, compact cleaning kit, wet filter, & some extra bags while they are on sale.

ETS EC 125/3 with Rubin 80, 120, 180, & 220 grit paper.

Pretty amazed with the dust collection using the sander and CT 36. Overall very happy with the purchase so far, however I think I will be adding a DTS 400 very soon to my collection. I feel like I've started down a dangerous road and want to just keep adding to the collection  [big grin]

Today MFK700 Basic.

I've been pondering how to best buy the right MFK/OFK combo and I've decided that Festool make it impossible. Further, the base on the Basic isn't available in any set [sad]

In Oz the MFK700 Basic is on special, so I've grabbed it and next probably get a complete MFK700 set and have one dedicated for specific trim operations.

I bought a 2700 (114" roughly) guide rail yesterday it seemed really cheap at £143.
Almost took the domino systainer with the 456and 8mm bits but choked and didn't pull the trigger.

wow.. 143 is a good price. where did you get it from?

today, I treated my self to a HKC55, lovely tool, nice and weighty, are the specific guide rails worth the money, or should I just carry on with the standard rails ?
