Last week  I bought two T-loc systainers off eBay.   No big deal, right?

Now, I thought I bought two sys-1's at a great price!    Turns out, I bought two mini's at a not so great price.

I hate it when that happens! Sorry to hear about your experience but you know what they say - If it sounds too good to be true...... Ya know, I really dislike that "Buy It Now" button. Great story!

Bought a Tanos Systainer 2 / attic from Lee Valley. Never bought from them before so I hope they are reputable. Want to take the attic lid and install it on my Sys 1 that holds my CXS for my drill bits.

Okay guys.  What I'm about to tell you is a little....NO....it's embarrassing!   This happened this past Tuesday by the way.

Last week  I bought two T-loc systainers off eBay.   No big deal, right?

So, I get home Monday (December 15,2014) and I see a small package at my door.  I was a little unsure what it could be.

I knew the two systainers where coming soon, but thought the package was TOO SMALL for two sys-1's.

I open up the box,  it freakin'  TWO MINI SYS!!!

I quickly check my eBay profile, checked the listing and sure enough......the seller listed the dimensions of the systainers....not the size.

Now, I thought I bought two sys-1's at a great price!    Turns out, I bought two mini's at a not so great price.

I know, my fault for not reading the full description of the listing.   But I didn't want to let two "sys-1's" get away so cheap, I hurried with the "buy now" button.

Lesson learned, trust me.   I will read the description more then once!   And try to control my buying happy fingers.  LOL

Eric

So, Eric, when will you post the "Mini" version of your Sys-Port video? [big grin]

But thats just me.

Im looking hard at one of those Multi functional stools to set my Work Center on....

To Buy Or Not To Buy, that is the questtion... whether it is nobler in the minds of men to suffer the outragious fortune of spending my quid on a prebuilt or spend the time and money on building my own...

I wonder if Shakesphere used festools?????

hi i am new to the forum, but not new to woodworking. i have owned and operated a factory and custom cabinet shop for 37 years. the shop was destroyed in a fire in feb 2013, and now i am getting myself equipped with new toys. an mft3, a ts55, an of 1400, the 55 in. holie track and the 118 track. the lr 32 hole drilling jig.  the 36 vac, a bunch of clamps for the table. the work table went together really easily ( i watched several of your videos on u tube). was square on first setup. checked with square and by the german technology of trimming a board on all 4 sides and rotating it then checking your diagonal measurement. absolutely square. I do have to say this the ts55 is very easy to operate, but never kid yourselves i owned a Holzma EL 60 automatic panel saw that i purchased in 1985, it was a tank and nothing is easier than just pushing a button and letting it do all the work for you. lol

Phew! Eric, you saved me.  I happened upon what must be the same seller and auction.  I was ready to hit "buy it now" button until I remembered your post!  I guess you could call this "What Festool I Didn't Buy Today!"

Ok So I Went and got the brad point drills which are in true festools fashion very good. then I got bugged after taking my work Center off my CT 22 to empty the bag.. So I went and ordered the MFH multi functional stool.

I can tell Ya the, that stool is very well made.

Its got some weight to it and the casters are top lot. Very good. Now my WC is rolling nice and easy plus I got the additional storage which is a plus.

I was a little apprehensive spending that much on a stool. But I tell Ya I'm happy with it. It will make my life easier. I won't loose any shop space because now I can hide my CT under my MFT and CMS.

Then since I was on a roll, I also got the HSX that I can hook my CT . I got the size that I can use the paper from my DTS 400 up to along with some foam backed sand paper. The foam back sand paper is one of Festools best kept secrets...

well.....

i "bought" a kapex ug set and an of1010 set on the 14th march. i thought id bought them anyway.

im still waiting for delivery. i wasnt advised itd take this long.

the shop was a part of a chain of stores in the uk. they had an opening offer of 10% off and they had price matched other places so it was a good price.

they told me id be waiting no more than 2 weeks.

a day later i realised they had charged me too much because the rep gave the store manager the wrong code. i basically got charged £75 too much.

he corrected the order

then i received the of1010 set.

it was 240v id asked for 110v and on the original order it was 110v. on the second order to correct the price it was changed to 240v.

i sent it back.

so almost a month later all i have is a 800mm guide rail.  ??? ???

does it normally take this amount of time to receive stuff?

I'd cancel the order send their stuff back to them.

 Then go with N&B.

That's who I got the stool from.

I called them yesterday, told them I'll need the stool by close of business today.

I got it about 1430 this afternoon.

No worries.

Tomorrow I pick up my MFT/3 set cross cut table, 2 Kapex tables and OF2200.
Last week was a OF1010 with every attachment.
3 weeks ago I picked up RO150 with sanding pad Systainer, Ct36 AC, LS130,  CXS,  installers set with zobo bits,  stocked up on 40,60,80,100,120,180,240,320 for my RO90, RO150, DTS 400

Next week I'm budgeting for a LR32 hole set and possibly the C15 set. Still up in the air about the drill, or the Domino 500 set.  Can you tell I'm going green in my shop
RO90, RO150, DTS 400, LS 130, CXS, TS 55 EQ, CT 36AC, OF 1400,  Parallel Guides, Kapex Miter saw,  3 MFT Kapex tables, C18

Bought a Tanos Systainer 2 / attic from Lee Valley. Never bought from them before so I hope they are reputable. Want to take the attic lid and install it on my Sys 1 that holds my CXS for my drill bits.
I did the same thing for my CXS, and went to switch lids with a MFT systainer sys 1 but found that the CXS , the lid hits the charger and will not close. This is not really a problem, the sys 2 with the extras I carry with the drill, its nice to have extra room.
I have found Lee Valley to be a very reputable company

This is another thread about the great deal on 18V batteries but I picked up a

Cordless Carvex basic kit (no battery or charger)
4x 18V batteries

$525, OTD that must be the deal of the decade for Festool.
