Just got the RO150 sander, Kapex 120 w/ UG stand, TXS, CTL26  [big grin] Had no idea of that Kapex saw was that fantastic to work with, and the UG stand makes the Kapex even more complete  [cool]

An ETS 150/3 followed me home from the toolshop today. Needed a finish sander, and thought it would be a good choice to pair with a Rotex 150 in the future. Systainer count at two.

It will be getting used in earnest tomorrow on the front doors, which I am replacing due to the recent storms in Sydney.

? Which part, my groove unit and hk85 has arrived, and some new parallel clamps and a 2.7m rail are on their way.

Have done a few test cuts with the groove unit, think that it's gonna be a must have item. Also the Hk85 is massive... [big grin]

@danbox

Love to see some video of the groove cutter getting groovy in hardwood [smile]

If you thing the k85 is big .. what about the hk132 !!

http://www.festool.com.au/epages/tooltechnic.sf/en_AU/?ObjectPath=/Shops/tooltechnic/Products/769531/SubProducts/769531

Yeah the 132 is a beast. I like the sword saw more but don't really have a use for it, might only use it a few times a year to size up some timber so can't really justify it.

I took some photos of the test cuts I did, I put grooves in some birch ply, oak veneered mdf, American white oak, English green oak and meranti, both with and across the grain. All my fine and cabinetry work used to be done by hand, I'm impressed with the results this gave, all the grooves were set at 18mm and I also did a quick measure and got 18.1mm, just in case a Festool engineer reads this I'll put the 0.1mm down to the play between the rail and saw.

Been lurking for awhile, but finally made the dive into my first Festool tools!  My fiancee has a bunch of projects for me for our wedding and they all involved end grain sanding on log slices and my little Makita sander wasn't going to cut it, so I picked up a Rotex 150, ETS 150/3 and a CT26 Dust extractor.  They should be here in a couple of days!  I can't wait to get them!

Welcome to the FOG!

I learned the hard way (as most here), the slope is slippery.  Enjoy the ride.

Thank you!  It definitely seems like it will be!  It's easy to justify the purchase after you already have the vac and don't have to buy that haha

Not really today.  I wanted a ETS EC 150/3 sander, a MFT/3 table and a 3000 rail.  Talked to my dealer and he had to order the table.  Wanted to get it at the same time to get that 10% discount.  They called today and said it was in, so my wife and I will take the 85 mile (one way) trip to Missoula tomorrow to pick them up.

Not Festool but I got a Gorrilla sleeve for my 27mm hose, some Kreg self adjusting clamps for my MFT/3 and a set of Parf Dogs.  Kreg clamps worked great.  Will be using the others today for the first time.

I bought a CMS TS insert for tsc55 saw, I got it new from a seller on eBay in Germany. I have a CMS VL (router table) that attaches to the MFT/3 table. First, the TS insert will fit in either direction, that said it feeds from the same direction as the router does. I installed it and did some measuring, the saw was dead on with the setup I had, I did some test cuts and they were perfect. My shop space is really limited, it's really nice I can fold everything up and get my garage back for other things.

Congrats!  I was just in north Japan for a hike and snowboard trip. One of the best trips of my life!  I have been to Japan for work at least a dozen times and this was the first non-business trip... Totally perfect!  Sometimes the powder went over my head!!

Been a great year for me and my board.

Cheers. Bryan.

I'm new here, got the bug though. Two weeks ago bought my first, the ts55req. Next week bought a mini ct, then just the other day got a ro125. Needless to say I'm hooked and broke, lol. Love the site and the tools!
