Hope it is as useful for my needs as planned!

As an FOG member well-known for his continuous heavy Festool investment (bags, splinter strips etc. all as the post above), I thought I'd continue my spending spree, since my existing cleanup tools are worn down to their tubular sockets  [sad]

I'm probably keeping the company in business single-handed.

I think that pic still shows the previous version of the brush. I think I posted about that before. I do have a brush in reserve now I found out last week, in a big Sys-IV with Dominos, splinter guards, the CMS sliding table and MFT stops. That means I bought it to have in reserve but forgot I did  [huh]

This was a long wait and a hard one for me. Thanks for the advices on the Domino folks.
It landed on my front door today. Spendy bit of kit..

Indeed a TS 55 FEBQ Fan Edition too, that comes with a Pica pencil and a measuring tape.
The tape wasn’t to bad. It’s a press to retract mechanism. White nylon coated tape wich was easy to read.

Not pictured: A rail clamp, Rapid “L” version was also received today.

It could appear that I’m on a roll here…
But these suddenly appeared pre-owned by a very nice craftsman in the furniture making business. He was stepping things down and have incredibly many nice tools to sell. Loads of Festool and Mafell. He might be close to have almost anything Festool and raved about how pleased he was with Mafell.. I did go and meet him for pick up, and we had a long lasting nice chat about tools. @Cheese - he has/had a BF 1 E - Band file based on the RAS 115. He’s asking $250 for it.. I checked with e-kat - and the RAS 115 head/attachment is obsolete, so I think I’ll pass (Makita now have a band file on the 18V platform too). I’m afraid spare parts might be an issue soon.

A LS 130 EQ and a RO 150 both sitting on his shelf for over 11 yrs.. I finally can part with my Bosch Turbo, which is a good machine, but that dust port! [mad] + I had a couple of accessories for the Rotex already at hand - noisy machine though  [blink] Sounds like a metal knuckle grinder  [big grin]. Looking forward to use the LS 130, a machine I wanted, but not the price (new) Now these came with a price very right! And look at them.. He did care for all of his tools, none looked tired. Nice to see with a craftsman.

Thanks for the heads-up Festita...you have a great memory or else a huge Rolodex.  [big grin]

Ya, that BF 1 really interests me but like you, when replacement parts are no longer available it becomes a dicey situation, especially when transporting across oceans...ouch there are so many Festool products I'd like to purchase if they were offered on this side of the ocean.  [smile]  The BS sanders spring to mind immediately. The Milwaukee 4" belt I have is made by AEG and it's a sweetheart, however that Festool BS with the sanding frame really captures my imagination. I'd give up the Milwaukee for the Festool BS 105 with a sanding frame in a heart beat.

It’s the memory I’m afraid  [wink]
It was indeed tempting, but price wise on an old tool, no.
BS 75 and 105 are still available here, they are at the moment transferred to the new SYS3 XXL.
(I’m having a mind battle buying a pre-owned BS 75 with all the extras right now)

What is a "fan" edition? Never heard of that, European only thing?

May be, but nothing really new; they even had a bodysuit for toddlers in Festool blue with “Festool Fan” logo.. This is nothing else than green color on the two handles on the SYS + free tape measure and pencil. It’s easy to spot the SYS with the track saw in it, that’s a bonus too  [big grin]

BS 105 in XXL? Really? Last I checked the 105 disappeared and the 75 got into a XXL

Re: What Festool Did You buy Today? MINI I
« Reply #2290 on: May 14, 2022, 11:03 AM »
Here's a comparison between the MIDI I and the MINI I. I really wanted another MIDI I but nothing has come up on the Recon site for the last 5-6 months and the local Woodcraft has been empty. Ya, you save $40 on the MINI and it's 12 oz lighter but for all practical purposes the MIDI is a better deal all around.

Always impeccable images Cheese - best comparison photos I’ve seen on those two  [smile]

Did the jump and bought a pre-owned BS 75 just now, from the same guy as the two other sanders. A furniture maker and fitter who is scaling down.
And this has seen very little use.. dust was included in the deal  [wink]

It’s more of a necessity, rather than a result of drinking cool-aid  [big grin]
