Limited edition item that was released once, then re-released. If you're not finding it online, maybe someone else knows of one in store and will chime in.

A google search shows it in stock at pmc

https://shop.pmctool.com/product/festool-205183-stm-1800-mobile-sawing-table/

Festool has raised the price since it was first released, it’s now showing as $1199 on their site https://www.festoolusa.com/products/semi-stationary-work/mobile-saw-table-and-work-bench/205183---stm-1800

We have a couple of them in stock at Woodcraft in Chattanooga. The STM1800 is a really nice sheet goods processing station, once you figure out the ins and outs. It has adjustable height so you can actually match the height to whatever MFTs you have(900mm). As an aside, we also have three of the metric Festool 205748 Limited Edition Installation Organizer Kit available for $175. This is the kit with a bunch of handled drivers as well as a set of metric ball hex keys and an adjustable spanner as well as some really nice racheting closed end wrenches on one end and open end wrenches on the other end.  Now if we can only get ahold of some OF2200s....I'll be a happy lad.....

Thank you for the information. Just ordered one. My first project will be to make a PT board for my granddaughter's condition.

We would like to share that Festool USA has just informed us that the STM 1800 will be a part of their regular catalog beginning in September. The cost is increasing to $1199.

Also, the HK 55 Saw will be making its return in September. Both the HK 55 and STM 1800 are available for pre-order now.

The removal of FOMO may negatively affect sales, so it'll be interesting to see how it works out in practice.

Can confirm they have 11 in stock. I've been looking for an STM for awhile, saw this, looked them up, realized I've never heard of them before despite being an 1.5 away, drove up and got one! Thanks for the heads up Peter! They ship too for those outside of the area looking for one.

Very coincidentally, Festool announced today that the STM is going to be part of the regular catalog offerings in September. Festool Nirvana has the pre-order link live: https://www.toolnirvana.com/products/festool-205183-stm-1800-mobile-sawing-table?_pos=1&_sid=584f687ec&_ss=r

Thank you for the post, just picked up an STM for $995 and the 205748 for $175, had to drive up from ATL for about 2 hrs as shipping was not an option, but stoked to have the STM 1800 in my garage finally!

@bwehman

Is their price still $995? Do you know if they offer free shipping? Thanks in advance!

I paid $995 at 11AM today, and then I saw the announcement with the new price at 4PM, so I'm honestly not sure. I bet if you called and ordered it tomorrow, you'd get it for the cheaper price.

This is the hot new item to have. The $200 price increase is nothing but ridiculous. The vast majority of it is metal with no more than 1% of it being wood and plastic. I see no way that this could warrant 20% increase in price even when you add the incremental shipping costs incurred by the manufacturer. One factor could be the Euro exchange rate. We are at $1 = +/-1€. They have enjoyed a much more favorable exchange rate for a very long.

@JimH2 Prices in Europe are stratospheric across the board. Everything (including the gas and electricity Festool use to heat and light their facilities) is increasing exponentially with no end in sight. In the UK, diesel is now over $11 a gallon - and the semi trucks which bring Festool's raw materials in, and then carry finished products out to ports and airports do around 8mpg at best. Timber prices for both sheet and stock goods are through the roof over here, and so is the cost of steel and aluminium. It's a sign of the times  [sad]
