STL 450 - a true revelation compared to the KAL 2

Dears,

I need to share this with you!

The Festool lighting range has brought joy to me previously in the form of the KAL2 and the SysliteDuo.
I started out with the portable work light and use it in so many cases for lighting up work areas and as a substitute for a flashlight or to generally enhance visibility when needed.

I also had used it to shed light on pieces during sanding and finishing operations to allow for a tight quality control of myself. ;)

Last week I found a bargain price for an STL450, because a show was closing I got it at 50% rsp.

WHAT A LIGHT!
I am currently preparing some drawer fronts for spray painting and am filling the wholes and dents and sanding everything flush.
The STL450 will bring you the pain of total visibility of any little defect.
I can even perfectly detect when the sanding paper starts to load up with the filler and tiny swirl marks are forming on the surface from this.

I shot a couple of pics to illustrate the difference between the KAL2 and the STL450, obviously, these do not do justice to the real world experience but give an idea on performance.

If you do any kind of finishing and might be inclined to double and triple check your work for a flawless result, I highly recommend a look at the light.
I would have never thought that such a „specialty tool“ wood bring so much use and fun into my workflow. :)
Another great Festool, as so often...
