Festool posted the following new version of the previous Assembly Package on Instagram. Does anyone know where available in USA? Item Number 576804. I am looking for replacement countersinks, self centering bits, etc and this may be a great deal (considering if purchased separately). Thanks!

Hmmm...I just want the bit boxes. Those things are handy as can be. I have a few of them with 2" bits stuffed into them.

I spoke with my rep here in BC (Canada) and it is not being sold in North America yet.

Ah I want one of these too. Hopefully they'll bring it to the US before need to buy another set instead…

Festool's rigid restrictions on international sales really grind my gears for stuff like this. Especially because, despite living in the US, I work in metric and don't want the imperial versions of things. I get why they don't want to release every tool and accessory in North America, given the logistical headaches involved and small sales potential for many things, but barring their dealers from selling them to North Americans is incredibly frustrating.

These sets are available on amazon.co.uk alongside lots of other NAINA stuff; they just won't ship them to a US address.

I'm already in too deep in duplicates. If this or the clamping elements kit had been available in NA I'd already have them both. That they would bury these entirely useful kits in favor of the wrenches is mind boggling.

Ya I agree...this is another one of those Festool butt chaffing/butt scratching decisions. A part number has been released, the item needs no secondary certification such as UL approval, there is no electricity involved so multiple examples need not be generated. The only issue is to release a metric version and an imperial version, that's it...end of story and both versions could be sold world-wide. Seems pretty simple to me, what-cha think Festool?  Yawn...yawn...yawn...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I'm going to stop well short of recommending this approach to all but the truly kool-aid drunk, but I thought I would note that there is a seller on amazon.de who will apparently ship the blue limited edition SYS3 M 89 set (576931) to the US. (This is the one that just has the Systainer and a bunch of conventional drill/driver bits, not the one mentioned at the top of this thread that's a replacement for the old SYS CE-SORT Installer's Set.)

I got as far as the checkout confirmation, noted that shipping to California was going to be $123, and decided I didn't want a neat blue Systainer set of duplicate bits all that badly.  :-\

Yes, always good to post such information here, so that Festool quickly can put a stop to it.  [tongue]

In the US, Festool has complete control of the selling price. If they allowed imports, they would lose some of that control. They may eventually sell this item in imperial and metric in the US. If so, they will set the price without any concern about discounts. Of course they may only sell the imperial set in NA. A metric set can then be added to the items to be bought during the trip to Europe.

It’s the same with the new auger bit set. Festool forgets that there is a small group of users that try using Festool exclusively and the internet gives them a slap in the face because they support Festool and then Festool makes products that are naina
