CT MIDI I cord wrap
« on: June 10, 2022, 09:56 AM »
After seeing a post with a pic of a new CT MIDI I went and looked at the one I bought last week and verified that it has no cord wrap.
It also did not come with any kind of manual.
Was it suppose to include the cord wrap and a manual?
Do I need to go dig up the box and search it?
Not so much worried about a manual, but the cord wrap would certainly be helpful.

@sawdustinmyshoes

Was the cord wrap attached?
Or was it packed away in some remote pocket in the box and you had to attach it?

Festool pack any separate items in the vac’s bin - if it’s not there it’s probably missing all together.

@FestitaMakool

Now that you mention it, I don't think I even opened that up. I was too excited to get it set up and get going with the Domino.

Hah! I just replied in the big Festool tools thread. But yes, it definitely comes with a handle. It should be in the vacuum bin. You will need a long thin screwdriver to install it. I believe it was a T20? Almost sure it was not a PH.

That's what I get for being in a hurry, like a kid on Christmas with a new toy.  [embarassed]

I've probably been using it without the bag even in place.  [eek]

I'm sure it's not too big of a mess, it was only used on the DF500 for less than 100 mortises.  [tongue]

I feel like a goober now! LMAO

Haha..  [big grin]
- So, you definitely haven't read the manual.. Cause it's in the bin.. but, don't worry the bag will only be dirty on the outside [tongue], and the other parts are in plastic bags. AND you get to try the manual filter clean from day one. - Just kidding, if its just wood shavings and dust, it should be ok to clean out.

As stated by others, it came inside the unit.

I was missing the manual on a Festool once.
Contacted the seller (Lee Valley) and the said they would bring one in with their next Festool order.
Never heard from them again.

Eventually contacted Festool, and they sent out right away.

I opened it up and sure enough, there was everything and a few cupfuls of wood chips.
