Forrest,
Wow!  That's an amazing project you've put together there!  Thanks for doing this!!

Feel free to update it as you find new information.  If you want, you could get all that into a spreadsheet and post the sheet here.

Mr Anderson

I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the evidence you have supplied which I will now use to extract a new watch out of Pat. He left this page on whilst he had to dash to the little boys room and I now see where all the housekeeping has gone.

I have noticed how he changes to another website whenever I enter the study and now I have his logon name I will spend many happy hours checking what tools he has bought and the stories he has told to hide them from me.

You are a star and you will probably get a few more messages of thanks.

Sue

Glad the list is proving useful  ;D   There's certainly quite a bit of bedtime reading there.

Sorry that your secret is now out, Pat!

Great job!!!  A service to everyone here.

Now, Matthew, how can we make this a sticky? It should be the very first option a new FOG reader would find.

I update my Consolidated List of Festool Links from time to time, and I have just added a dozen new links tonight, marking them so that they stand out.

Most are magazine reviews for the Domino, TS55, TS75, OF1010, Rotex 150, and CMS, but there are two which are particularly worth mentioning...

There is a review of the Kapex, which mentions a couple of minor "niggles" that will interest those who participated in the two Kapex threads recently, and there is a review of blades for the TS55. This includes six Festool blades, plus three from Freud and one from Trend, and explains what happens to the splinterguard when you change blades. Although it's an article from a UK magazine, I'm sure that it will still be of interest to US members. In his summary, the reviewer "can't recommend the Panther blade at all", and he likes the three Freud blades, describing them as "super".

http://www.woodshopdemos.com/men-fes.htm

<Laughs>  There were so many excellent articles on your site that I didn't know where to start!

From the very beginning I mentioned you under...

General   Multiple Festool Reviews and Articles (John Lucas)   http://www.woodshopdemos.com/men-fes.htm

...however I quite realise that it doesn't do you justice. I did originally say that I'd create separate links to each article/tutorial, so I'm off to do that now, although it might take a few days to index them!

Please keep producing your informative and well-illustrated articles - your website was where I first learned about Festool kit and convinced me to buy my TS55.

Forrest,
Thanks for kind words and taking time to place individual articles in your reference guide. Your listing is so very important  to all of us and particularly new and prospective Foggers.

Dick,

You're not missing anything.  The page looks corrupt.  All of the links point to the same page: http://sawsndust.com/r-ps300eq-page1.shtm.

My apologies to everyone!

I updated the database the other night, and I've gone and corrupted it  >:(

I've taken the list down until it can be repaired.

Thanks for pointing the problem out.

The List is now back up again, and I've added Joseph Fusco's reviews, as mentioned out by Reg.

Apologies for the downtime.

Outstanding job!  If it weren't for these references the learning curve to mastering Festools would be much longer.  Thanks for your hard work.

Has anyone put this into a *.pdf format?  I think (but am uncertain) that I could do that if the author approved, but I think Matt has more experience on this subject than I.

I intend to make this into a reference material which, in my case, means 1) a copy on my computer and 2) a laminated copy in my garage.

It seems a remarkable co-incidence that exactly 24 hrs earlier someone asked me a similar question by PM. Given the sudden rush to convert it to PDF, I am wondering if the idea has been discussed elsewhere recently, perhaps in another forum??

I don't have a problem with people saving the list on their computer and perhaps converting the three-part list to a single PDF file with clickable links, so that they don't have to log on to FOG each time to use it. I personally can't really see the point of printing a copy, since it's just a list of links, but feel free!

As regards a wider audience (which was what the PM was about), I designed it for FOG, and personally I'm of the opinion that the list should stay where it is and not appear elsewhere on the Internet (although permission was given in the early days for the Australian ubeaut Woodwork Forum to present the list on their website). Matthew may want to give us his opinions.

For BC6738F5BCE98B4 - it would be nice if you could give me your name so that I could address you. It doesn't even need to be your real name - John Smith would do.

I'm the person that sent Forrest the PM. If the idea of making a pdf version of the links been discussed someplace else I'm am not aware of it. I was making a pdf with a list of links to my when I decided to expand the list to include other site. It didn't take me long before I realized Forrest already has a complete list so I thought I'd ask him if he liked the idea of my making his list into a pdf.

The whole idea is not print the list out but to have a pdf with the links (functional internet links) as a copy to share with others. The pdf could be distributed among users, this might allow this list to get into more hands. The pdf should also include a link to the FOG for those that haven't yet found the site. I think this list should get more exposure. My end would be to produce a pdf with picture and maybe some nice graphics. Forrest gets all the credit for compiling the list, that would be made clear on the cover page of the pdf. That's the idea, comments anyone?
