Basis 6 router plate with OF1400

Hi Im new to FOG and wanted to ask if anyone could have a solution for my dilemma. I have a OF 1400 EBQ router and have recently bought a secondhand Basis 6 router plate for the CMS table. I dont have a table but was hoping to make my own.
Is it possible to attach the OF1400 and if not (has anyone customised one to allow it to work.
The clips at the bottom of the plate dont seem to be compatible with ny router.
Can anyone help? Ive attached a picture of what it came with..

Welcome to the board  [big grin]

That plate only works with an OF2000 router. The OF2000 is a great router that works very well in the CMS table or the Basis table assembly, other than you have to reach under to adjust the height *shrugs*. Without the fence and the table part itself you would be lacking the most important part of the functionality. The plate WILL fit perfectly into a CMS table.

Sell the plate to someone that has the correct router, and buy a regular router table setup (Kreg, Jess Em, Woodpeckers, etc. With Jess Em being one of the only ones that will bolt onto a Festool OF1400 http://www.jessemdirect.com/product_p/02322.htm ). Or just buy a CMS. Keeping the OF1400 as a handheld and getting a dedicated router for the table helps with convenience. Many like the Triton routers.

FWIW I have a complete Basis setup for my OF2000 router, including the sliding table, Festool fence setup, and the CMS TS-75 plate.

Hey Guys, I haven't been around for years, got busy doing other things.  [eek]

I bought a Basis 6A plate at a Festool distributor clearance sale years ago and always had it sitting around with the intention to fit my 1400 to it.

The first couple of times it didn't really make sense/too hard basket and it floated to the back of my shed, I lost track of it and had no interest or couldn't figure it out. Last year I bought a Snapmaker 3d printer and after printing heaps of other things and rediscovering the plate, I realized I could maybe make it fit.

I've printed a zero clearance plate that's pretty easy to adjust the file and print for any size bit. I've also designed and printed a block that raises the lifting screw meant for 1010 about 65mm so 1400 now fits. It has a couple of locating tabs to keep the router from wandering, all the factory hold-downs fit. Haven't done anything with it, I've gotten busy again but proof of concept is nice and solid and it finally is a viable option with my CMS.

MY Basis 6A plate is different from the of2000 insert to the best of my knowledge. Now that my 1400 fits in it, I don't have any intention of selling it, but I'll keep you in mind.

I've just bought a basis 6 plate and also found it's not really built for my OF1400. Do you have any photos of how you got your OF1400 to fit Eli?
