I guess the main thing about the Festool set is the centrotec attachments and driver that are 6 mm, not 1/4".

I just got this from the UK. Sweeeeeeet!
As you have the CXS, you also have a nice right angle drive that your new kit will work seamlessly with for delicate situations that a battery driver is to aggressive for.
Here I use it in a video I did a while back.

Dave, that is really awesome, I never thought of that. Brilliant actually!

That Wera system is brilliant and I really would encourage anyone to get a set. Try and visit their stand at a woodworking (or similar) show.

So Peter....is it Wera or Wiha? I've read much debate on this topic. Super nice quality though!

Hi Chris. I know I'm not Peter, but both. They are 2 differ at companies as far as I'm aware selling similar products - certainly in the electrical trade in any event.

Hi Chris - I am Peter !

I have not tried Wiha but a lot of people have said how good their kit is. Wera is certainly great and I have several sets bought from my local tools supplier (Screwfix for the Brits) and I have bought their stuff to give away as presents.

Thanks for the response guys, I was wondering though....do you know who makes this set or is it actually Festool. It's marked made in Germany but it was just curious :)

I'd say there's about a 1% chance they would spend the time/effort to make their own ratchet when they're next door to so many companies that have very successful designs. They're not in the mechanic business afterall.

The pear shaped ratchet is pretty ubiquitous, but looking at the minute details on Hazet/Gedore/Stahlwille/Elora/Heyco ratchets, it doesn't seem to match any of the current designs. Maybe an older design, or some other brand I'm forgetting (assuming it is made in Germany afterall)?

Yup made in Germany. Box says so too but the ratchet clearly states it.

It appears to be a rebadged Felo Smart ratchet.

As richy says both...

The wera sets are outstanding especially that little ratchet set, which also comes with a tiny straight handle and magnetic bit holder, I find their VDE torque drivers the best too (wiha's although smaller has an annoying habit of releasing itself and needs a tool to set the torque.)

Wera also make these which are a terrific time saver getting a little screw to seat quickly one handed. So simple they make me smile everytime I use them!

OTOH wiha make ergonomic needle nose pliers. Never had a poorly made tool from either. Neither brand is cheap but then they last.

A lot of companies do use both for bit holders, Hafale use Wiha and don't even rebrand.

Got this kit a few weeks ago and love it, I am 3/4 way through a major project and it is in use every day and has got me out of tricky situations, also get lots of comments about it.

Just got this kit today thru Amazon global... $110 plus change. Great little set. Going to put it to use on a cabinet install this weekend.
CT 26E, RO125, sys-mft, sys-toolbox, a bunch of 30 year old tools I'm looking to replace.

Hey @Farming_Sawyer how long did that kit take to get to you? I ordered one through amazon global as well and it was never delivered. Luckily I received a refund but I am hesitant to order again. I can't seem to find other buying options here in the US.

Thanks @Svar I'll take a closer look there. At first glance it seemed as though most sets were going for > $150 USD

Helo to all,

new to this forum but I wanted to buy a Festool ratchet set and since last 2 weeks I read about it and I realize that are 2 different tool sets. I don't know which one is new and which one is old. All the online stores have just a small picture of the Systanier case opened and you cannot see what version of the Screwdriver is inside. I see that are 2 versions of the Screwdrivers - the one with the big black and green plastic and the one that has the CentroFix sistem from Whia.  I want to order the one with the CentroFix sistem and I don't know what Serial Number to look for. Or anything else that can show me what I will buy.
I will appreciate if anyone can help me with this. I am located in Germany as I work for a militare base.
I can find this Festool Ratchet Set 1/4 on alot of online stores but they all have the same small picture and same Serial Number. I saw that there are some differences in the case also, like the middle green T-loc system, some they have 2 x green plastic added aside etc. but how can I get the CentroFIx Screwdriver inside ?
like this one: please see the attached files for more info.
Thank you all very much and waiting for your replies.  I can also buy just the screwdrvier online, or wiha with the CLicfix which is the same, but the handle is RED and I Don't like it. Also I need a SET of the bits too, everything in one place.
