Tool reviews are an important part of the Festool Owners Group.  They serve as a valuable tool for others who are considering the purchase of a particular product.  For that reason, we would encourage you to post your opinions, photos and commentary about products that you own for the benefit of the entire forum community.

All members, regardless of the level of expertise are welcomed to participate in writing product reviews.  Since we have a diverse member base, others will benefit from reviews written by professionals and hobbyists.  This area is especially well suited for new members who want to get involved with the forum.  And, there's certainly no such thing as too much information when researching your next purchase.

So what are you waiting for?  We're looking forward to reading your product review!

I'm noticing a number of recent threads in this section that might be better suited in the general Festool discussion section. The general Festool discussion section is a more visible area of the forum and you will likely get faster replies, more in-depth discussion/answers to your questions there. Also by starting threads about general questions here you are adding clutter for members to dig through.

I feel this review section can be a valuable resource to this community. Keeping this section on topic allows members to quickly find reliant, first hand tool reviews.

my question is what constitutes a Review.  I started making a "review" of my favorite router the 1010,   But most of the review will be a new video restating many of the things in my mini tutorials... Is a review like an abatement--- it is one, if it has the word in the title?  just checking  and if that is the case because we are doing a random drawing based on submissions of "reviews"  I would be better to make many mini reviews of each different accessory and application.

Craig,

At the most basic level, I think we can all agree that a review is basically the evaluation of a product. 

Your opinions, thoughts, talk about features if you want, show the product in use if its pertinent to the context of what you're talking about, give it a rating on a scale from 1 to 10 if you want, did it meet your expectations, how has it performed long term if you've had the product for some time, ....

The basic idea of the contest was just to get members who are more experienced with the products to share their experience with others.
