Domino XL 700 Problem

New here, very new to the domino, but not new to Festool...if I commit a faux pas here apologies

Got a Domino to build amongst other things some wood storms about a month ago, been going great, no real learning curve. Today on window #10 or so the machine suddenly started revving almost? Best I can describe is a gas weedwacker engine!. I cut it off.  Turned it back on and it seemed fine. Began again and it began to slow once again. Switched power sources. Switched power cords. It seems to be running at 30% speed now. At startup in jumps to maybe 35% than slows a tad and stays steady. Not enough power to do anything. What gives?!?

It's got probably 15 minutes of run time...if that...maybe 80 mortises for windows and a dozen trials before i began. Anything I'm missing here...It was opened on the shop table and has not left the spot on the table or under the table since it arrived so absolutely no rough care etc. etc.

Very very frustrated...any insight would be appreciated.

Call Festool Service and speak to a technician. They are very knowledgeable.

Yeah I left a VM and will be calling first thing...hoping if I leave it sitting it will turn on no problem in the morning  [eek]...had 4 mortises that *really* needed to get done. Just wasn't sure if anyone here had had any experience similar with one of these, or if by any chance it had some funky safety mechanism that went over my head (like it goes into dummy mode if it overheats or something...)

Generally? I had the vacuum outside where I was sanding the old window down while I did a couple windows worth of mortises a month ago maybe?....but I can't imagine that a handful of 60-80mm mortises of dust could possibly effect it!?! To be clear, I didn't do all of these mortises today its been a couple windows a week for last month or so as time allowed, with painting, glazing etc in between. So at no point did this machine do more than 8 mortises at one sitting, 80 total lifetime....its a dang baby! Super frustrating because it had been nearly 2 weeks since I had used it where I pushed a batch of six windows all the way to completion...and now I got a bunch of stiles and rails ready to roll and no domino...

The domino itself needs extraction/collection to keep the mortises clear and the bit working properly.  It really doesn't matter how few you cut or how infrequently you do it.  It's not like a biscuit joiner that is self-clearing by nature.

It might not be the sole reason or the root cause, but it certainly wouldn't have helped.

Although I wholeheartedly agree, it must have dust extraction, I wouldn't think that it would have nearly as much effect on the speed of the motor as it would "fighting back" during the plunge, especially with a DF700. They are more powerful and go way deeper. I would think it would go crazy wobbling the machine back and forth as it bound up in the mortise.
If it was working "normally" (subjective, considering the explanation), then suddenly changes? Why would it run slow under no load? Sounds like something in the electronics is mad? American mad (irritated) not UK mad (crazy)  [unsure]
