CT Dust Extractor Switch Repair - Video
« on: September 30, 2014, 07:14 PM »
My CT33 failed, just ahead of a big project.  Field repair required.  I took some video; it's a bit long winded and shaky, but I couldn't find anything else posted that showed how to get to it.

I'd estimate that, now, knowing how, it would take me 45 mins. to swap the part.  The hardest part is the lack of play in the main power connections bus by the power cord inlet (see video), that restrict freely moving the motor clear away, without disconnecting everything. But you can access the switch.

Disclaimer: This is for illustration purposes, only.  Not the official Festool procedure.  You should just assume that you will break your vacuum by following this.
