CT15 not powering on
« on: February 14, 2021, 12:45 PM »
This thing just came out of the box last night....it powered up and functioned fine although I only checked manual mode.  This morning I have no power.  I accidentally left it plugged in but nothing was ever warm and I ran it for less than 5 mins.  Is there a reset or something ridiculously simple I’m overlooking?  Using a circuit tester shows it has power to the board. Is it the new model with the "touch" switches, or the old one with the round knobs?

Kind regards,

Any red light?

I take it it won't start up when you push the button for manual start-up?

Will it start when you connect a power tool to the extractor's outlet and switch that tool on?

Have you done the usual, plug-out, plug back in with the extractor?

Kind regards,
Oliver

I'm getting no light on the panel, nothing is happening with the manual switch or the tool outlet.  What do you mean by the "usual"?  Plug out, plugs in with the extractor?  And thanks for the help.....

What I mean is disconnecting the extractor from the outlet it's plugged in to, and then after 5 minutes or so, re-connecting it, plugging it back into the outlet.

The CT15 has an internal safety in case it overheats, doing the above will reset that safety.

I know it run only for 5 minutes, but since it has been idle on power for the night, that just might do the trick.

Otherwise, I'm sorry, I have no idea what could be wrong with the extractor.
