Festool STM 1800 now ordering - AGAIN
« on: June 02, 2020, 07:34 PM »
I seen the STM 1800 is now taking orders AGAIN.  So much for limited time offer.  If you did not order one, the order window seems to be open again.  No price change, still $995.

@krudawg I had mentioned this over in my STM 1800 thread. Sorry if anyone missed it. Long story short... We realized that Festool had an order deadline of 4/13 for dealers. As a result, we ordered extra inventory to let those who were on the fence an opportunity to get one later in the year. That said, we do have a finite number that we will receive. So, once we sell out, it's done. We will not be able to get more.

Pre-order the STM 1800 now!

[big grin] Love my STM 1800 cut table. I have used it on two projects so far. I was able to lift product by myself that would of taken two people. I’m very pleased with the quality, size (both in-use & stored). And the fact it has wheels. My old cut table will probably be repurposed or recycled.
The $995 price tag was tuff to shallow, especially since I’ve been getting by all these years with my homemade one, but this one is sweet if you can afford it you will not be disappointed.
Works well as an assembly table. Adjustable in sized, Jon J

I’ve only used my STM once: as an assembly table for a tall IKEA cabinet I modified to fit the specific space needed, and to add a 20 mm melamine back to strengthen it. When done, it’s now folded into a compact space ready for the next project. It hardly takes up more room than a Keter folding plastic work table. Having a pair of wheels lock in both revolution and rotation is nice.

One reason for buying the STM was to save my back; and in this case it did the job by allowing me to work on the cabinet at normal working height instead of having to get on the floor.
